A total of 563 players have played in the IPL from 2008 to 2019. Among the Indian batsmen, only four have achieved the distinction of representing five or more different teams in the tournament's. All four of them have represented the national side.

Here's a list of the four Indian batsmen to have represented five or more different IPL teams:

The current Kolkata Knight Riders captain Dinesh Karthik has played for six different teams in the IPL. The wicket-keeping batsman has pledged his loyalties to:

Mumbai Indians - 36 matches (2012, 2013)

In 164 innings, Karthik has scored 3656 runs with a top score of 97*, which he registered for Kolkata against Rajasthan Royals at the Eden Gardens on 25 April 2019. His runs have come at an average of 27.08, and they include 18 fifties and eight ducks.

Karthik has been quite strong with his performances behind the stumps as well, taking 101 catches and 30 stumpings.

India wicketkeeper-batsman Parthiv Patel is also in the unique list of players who have turned out for six different IPL teams. He has represented Chennai Super Kings, Kochi Tuskers Kerala, Deccan Chargers, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians.

Manish Pandey has been a good finisher in the IPL over the years. Pandey has represented Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Pune Warriors India, Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Pandey has been unbeaten in 23 out of his 118 innings. His 2797 runs have come at an average of 29.44 and they include 15 fifties. He has also opened the batting 27 times.

Irrespective of the amount of time spent at the crease, Pandey has scored at a decent strike-rate of 121.13. His only century, 114 not out, came while opening the batting for Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2009.

One of the game's greatest all-rounders and finishers, Yuvraj Singh has also represented six different IPL teams during his career - Kings XI Punjab, Pune Warriors India, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Delhi Daredevils, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians.

He skipped the 2012 season because of his cancer treatment.

In 126 innings, Yuvraj accumulated 2751 runs at an average of 24.78 including 13 fifties and only four ducks. He scored at a healthy strike rate of 129.76 and opened the batting twice.

Yuvraj's highest score was 83 against Rajasthan Royals while representing Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Yuvraj also bowled 144.5 overs, claiming 36 wickets at an average of 29.92. He has a unique record of taking two hat-tricks in a single season (2009).

Representing Kings XI Punjab, he dismissed RCB’s Robin Uthappa, Jacques Kallis and Mark Boucher to register his first hat-trick. He later claimed the wickets of Deccan Chargers Herschelle Gibbs, Andrew Symonds and Venugopal Rao to complete his second.

Yuvraj became the then most expensive player bought in the history of the IPL auction when RCB shelled out INR 14 crore for him in 2014. He is also the first player ever to score fifties for five different IPL franchises - Kings XI Punjab, Pune Warriors India, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Delhi Daredevils and Sunrisers Hyderabad.
