No matter how many wickets any bowler takes, his first wicket always remains more precious than the others. It is etched in his memory for a long time and keeps reminding him of the time when he was taking baby steps in international cricket and how the wicket just improved his confidence.

In this particular segment, let us take a look at five bowlers whose first ever Test wicket was the legendary Indian batsman Rahul Dravid.

Mohammad Rafique played in Bangladesh's first ever Test

The 10th of March 2000 will go down as an unforgettable day in the history of Bangladesh cricket. It was on this day that they played their first Test match against India at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in Dhaka.

The hosts' spin attack was led by the experienced Mohammad Rafique. During the fourth delivery of the 48th over, the wily left-armer got one to slide in and take the inside-edge of Dravid's bat. Al Sahariar, at short-leg, took an easy catch.

It was the left-arm spinner's first ever Test wicket and one which he would never forget.

Arafat took a five-wicket haul in his first Test innings

Months after featuring in the Pakistan side that finished runners-up in the World T20 of 2007, Yasir Arafat made his Test debut against India in Bangalore.

On the opening morning of the Test, he created mayhem with the ball. The medium pacer removed three Indian wickets cheaply. The first of those was Dravid, caught by Misbah-ul-Haq for 19. Arafat would go on to make it a memorable debut by claiming a five-wicket haul in his first ever Test innings.

Krejza's first Test wicket was Dravid

In order to reclaim the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in 2008, Australia had to beat India in the fourth and final Test of the series at the VCA Stadium in Nagpur. In a move that surely raised a few eyebrows, Ricky Ponting picked rookie off-spinner Jason Krejza in his playing XI.

The move, however, proved to be an incredible one as Krejza wrecked havoc. The off-spinner claimed eight wickets in India's first innings. His rich haul included the prized scalp of Dravid who was caught by Simon Katich at short-leg. But his spell could not prevent Australia from succumbing to a 172-run defeat.

#2 Ajantha Mendis

Mendis was unplayable during the 2008 series between Sri Lanka and India

The year 2008 will go down as the year when the Indian cricket team suffered their major roadblock as far as playing spin bowling was concerned. That roadblock came through Sri Lankan mystery spinner Ajantha Mendis who formed a web around the Indian batsmen right throughout the year.

Making his debut in Colombo, Mendis claimed four wickets in the first innings. His maiden scalp was Dravid who got bowled by a terrific delivery. The mystery spinner would snare the stalwart's scalp once again in the second innings and subsequently propel Sri Lanka to an innings triumph in the opening Test of the series.

Clarke began his Test career on an emphatic note

Having made a Test century on debut against India in Bangalore, Michael Clarke was enjoying a dream start to his international career in 2004

Towards the end of the series, he showed what he could do with the ball as well. The left-arm spinner picked up six wickets for just nine runs on an absolute minefield at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. The first of those victims was Dravid who was caught off a ball that spit off the deck, took the glove on the right hand and ended in Adam Gilchrist's safe hands.
