England fast bowler Steven Finn has returned home in the middle of the ODI series against Australia to work on the technical aspects of his game.

The Middlesex pacer hasn’t played a single international game during England’s current tour of Australia. He is the third cricketer to have gone home from the tour, with Jonathan Trott leaving due to stress-related issues and off-spinner Graeme Swann retiring after the third Test at Perth.

Finn is said to be short on confidence after being left out of the side since the 1st Test of the Ashes series in England in July last year. He will looking to work on his bowling action, which according to reports is proving to be a massive problem for him these days.

The 24-year-old has played 23 Tests and 39 ODIs for England so far and will be hoping that he can regain his place in the England team this summer when the English host Sri Lanka and India at home

This is what the England Cricket Board (ECB) tweeted about Finn’s depature.
