England vs Pakistan Head to Head Record (ODI World Cups)
England and Pakistan first met at the World cup during the 1979 event. England went on to win that game by 14 runs, and the succeeding ones in 1983 (by 8 & 7 wickets) before the Pakistanis hit back on consecutive occasions at their own turf in 1987.
Their most-memorable clash took place at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCGl at the 1992 World Cup final, where Pakistan were crowned world champions thanks to a magical spell of bowling from Wasim Akram.
Since 1992, England and Pakistan have crossed paths just thrice at the World Cup. While England won comprehensively (by 112 runs) in Durban in 2003, Pakistan did the same in Karachi (1996). Their final meeting took place at the 2019 event, where Pakistan edged out the eventual champions in a high-scoring thriller by 14 runs.
