IPL Auction 2019: Fans want Yuvraj to play under MS Dhoni in CSK 

After being released by Kings XI Punjab ahead of the 2019 IPL auction, Yuvraj Singh will enter the auction pool in a bid to find a new home for the tournament's 12th edition. With the auction over three weeks away, the fans of the defending champions Chennai Super Kings already want the dashing southpaw in their side for the 2019 season.

A majority of the fans were quite vocal on social media about the franchise getting Yuvraj at the auction as they want to see one of India's most destructive batting pairs, Yuvraj and Chennai's captain MS Dhoni, in action together.

Yuvraj was released by Kings XI Punjab after just one season in his second stint with the franchise. In the 2018 IPL, the hero of India's 2007 World T20 and 2011 ICC World Cup triumphs managed to score just 65 runs in eight outings at an average of 10.83 and a strike-rate of less than 90 which resulted in him getting dropped from XI and then released from the franchise.

Yuvraj would be a valuable addition for Chennai Super Kings even if he doesn't get a place in the starting XI, thanks to their packed middle-order that has the likes of Kedar Jadhav, MS Dhoni, Suresh Raina, Dwayne Bravo among others. But, he can be a good back-up for the franchise especially given the fact that the likes of Rayudu and Jadhav, if not Dhoni, could be rested for a few games during the course of the tournament keeping the 2019 World Cup in mind.

Yuvraj has a lot of experience under his belt and has always given his best whenever he played under Dhoni, the captain. Yuvraj, who is not a part of the Punjab Ranji Trophy side, will be hoping to recreate the magic with MS Dhoni if he is picked by the defending champions in the IPL auction.
