The top three cricketing nations of the world, Australia, India and South Africa will host the other teams at home while December 2019 also marks the beginning of the Big Bash League 2019-20.

As mentioned ahead, Sri Lanka will become the first international team to play a Test series in Pakistan when they travel the Asian country to play 2 Tests in December 2019. This will be Pakistan's first home Test series under the ICC World Test Championship hence, they will look to secure as many points as they can.
