Haryana, Vidarbha score easy wins in KSCA All-India cricket tournament

Yuzvendra Chahal picked up six wickets for Haryana in Tripura’s second innings

Bengaluru, Aug 4 Haryana and Vidarbha recorded comfortable victories against Tripura and Gujarat, respectively, in the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) All-India cricket tournament here on Tuesday.

In Bengaluru, Haryana swept past Tripura by an innings and 176 runs to pick up seven points. Featuring in Haryana's win were Rahul Dagar whose century (116, 210b, 11x4) helped them pile up 416 for seven declared, and leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal who took six for 38 to bundle out Tripura for 103 in their second innings.

Vidarbha eased past Gujarat by seven wickets in Mysuru and earned six points. After taking a 50-run first innings lead, Vidarbha bowled out Gujarat for 121 and then reached the modest target in the 28th over.

An unbeaten double century by D Nischal (202 not out, 435b, 25x4) and his 270-run partnership with K.N. Bharath (147, 224b, 23x4) put Karnataka President's XI within striking distance of Bengal's first innings score of 489 as the hosts ended the day at 444 for three.
