India A vs West Indies A: West Indies strike back with three wickets after posting 429

Parvez Rasool bagged a five-wicket haul

After posting a first innings total of 429 on the board, West Indies A striked back with three wickets to leave India at 124/3 at the end of the second day of the first unofficial Test at Gangothri Glades Cricket Ground, Mysore.

Resuming the day on 264 for 5, West Indies A made Indian bowlers work hard for the remaining wickets. Despite the early dismissal of wicket-keeper Chadwick Walton for 35 runs, Assad Fudadin, with some able help from Nikita Miller (49), continued his good work from yesterday to score an unbeaten 86 off 201 deliveries

Once Pujara broke the 88-run partnerhsip by running out Miller, Fudadin was left stranded at the other end as Parvez Rasool picked up four of the five wickets to fall today to finish with figures of 45-13-116-5.

In reply, India A lost Jiwanjot Singh and Cheteshwar Pujara early into the innings. Lokesh Rahul and Manpreet Juneja prevented the West Indian bowlers from making any further inroads into the India A batting line up by stringing together a 60-run partnership.

Rahul fell four short of his fifty as India A ended the day on 124/3 with Juneja (47) and Harshad Khadiwale (5) at the crease.
