Heavy rain may hinder the first day of India's practice match against Cricket Australia XI in Sydney Cricket Ground. Authorities have given extreme weather warning for Wednesday, 28 November 2018. Commuters are urged not to use the road in the event of severe rain. The Current weather forecast indicates damaging winds, hazardous conditions, and heavy rain which may cause the flood in some parts of the Sydney.

India's practice match will take place during 28 November 2018 - 01 December 2018 at the Sydney Cricket Ground. India's all frontline players will be available for the practice match in Sydney. The Test specialist players have joined the squad and will be available for the practice match. Cricket Australia XI doesn't feature any of the Australian players who will be part of the Test series against India.

Wicket-keeper batsman Sam Whiteman will lead the Cricket Australia XI which will feature the only capped player D Arcy Short. The team will also have some of the established players like Chandigarh born batting allrounder Param Uppal, Max Bryant, and Jackson Coleman.

With the heavy rain predicted on Tuesday evening (27 November), and Wednesday ( 28 November), India will have one day less of red-ball practice match ahead of the tough series.

Meanwhile, Australian players were seen practising at SCG and the banned duo David Warner and Steve Smith were present in the nets to help prepare the Australian pace bowlers. David Warner practiced with the team ahead of the of the final T20 match whereas Steve Smith spent time facing the fast bowlers during the weekend.

There is a slight rain forecasted early morning of the second day of the practice match as well. However, it will improve as the day progress and have a clear sky on day three and four as per the current weather forecast. Sydney has been experiencing some rough weather conditions over the past few days with a dust storm hitting the city last week ahead of the final T20 game and heavy wind flowing through the past few days as well.
