Rohit Sharma made his debut on 23 June 2007 against Ireland. He became the 168th player to earn a cap for India in ODI's.
After the emphatic and historic victory of the Men in Blue in the Test Series in Australia, the ODI matches are being played currently. The Hitman, Rohit Sharma was the only Indian player who gave India an outside chance of winning the first ODI. The Aussies had set up a fighting total of 288.
With Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli, and Ambati Rayudu returning to the pavilion early on in the innings - it was Rohit Sharma and MS Dhoni who steadied the ship for India. The Nagpur born player hit a sublime 133 off 129 but departed in the 46th over with a mistimed shot in the air. Had he stayed till the end, India would have given a tough fight to chase down the total. Eventually, Australia won the match by 34 runs.
The classy Rohit also chipped in with a handy contribution of 43 in the 2nd ODI which India won thanks to Kohli and Dhoni's exploits with the bat.
One often forgets for how long the skillful Rohit Sharma has served Indian cricket. In fact, the 31-year-old made his debut almost 12 years ago. He still remains one of the most integral parts in the starting XI.

The former captain is currently the President of The Cricket Association of Bengal. Ganguly is also appointed with Wisden India as the President of the Editorial Board.
#2 Sachin Tendulkar
Coming over to Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar. Anything which can be said about the 'God of Cricket' will be less. The right-handed batsman holds the record for the most number of runs in Tests with 15921 runs in 200 matches at an average of 53.79. He also holds the record the most number runs in ODI's with 18426 runs in 463 matches at an average of 44.83.
Sachin was an emotion that touched the lives of cricket fans not just in India but around the world. The nation wept when he retired in 2013. The prolific run-maker had a career spanning almost 24 years.
He is also the majority owner of ISL side Kerala Blasters. Premier Badminton League franchise Bengaluru Blasters is also owned by the Master Blaster. The legendary batsman also owns the SRT10 sports management company besides regularly contributing for social causes.
#3 Gautam Gambhir
Gautam Gambhir played a fantastic knock 80* off 107 deliveries during Rohit Sharma's debut match against Ireland. The left-handed batsman had a fantastic career for the Indian national team. Gauti played 58 Tests, scoring a total of 4154 runs at an average of 41.96; 147 ODIs, scoring a total of 5238 runs at an average of 39.68, and 37 T20Is, scoring a total of 932 runs at an average of 27.41.
The 37-year-old also had a healthy strike rate in all three formats. He is also known for leading KKR to two IPL titles in 2012 and 2014, respectively. The Delhi-born player recently announced his retirement in December 2018. He scored a century for Delhi in his last match against Andhra Pradesh.
Besides contributing to social causes, Gauti is currently spending time with his family, especially his two daughters. The feisty player will always be remembered for playing an integral part in India's victory at the 2011 World Cup as he scored a match-winning knock of 97.

'The Wall,' as Rahul Dravid is popularly known, is one of the finest batsmen in cricket history. Mr. Dependable played 164 Tests for India amassing 13288 runs at a brilliant average of 52.31. The Indore-born player also scored a total of 10889 runs in 344 ODIs he played for India.
Captain for a long time, Dravid always put the team before himself. He had tremendous acumen of the game and read situations well.
Currently, Dravid is the head coach of India A as well as the Indian U-19 team. He has also been roped in as the overseas batting consultant for India. The veteran batsman initiated the Rahul Dravid Athlete Mentorship Programme in association with the GoSports Foundation. #5 Yuvraj Singh
One of India's all-time greatest all-rounders is the explosive Yuvraj Singh. The left-handed batsman played 40 Tests and scored 1900 runs at an average of 33.93. However, he is best known for his performances in the limited overs format. Yuvraj amassed 8701 runs in 304 ODIs at an average of 36.56 and strike rate of 87.68.
The 37-year-old also represented the nation in 58 T20Is, scoring 1177 runs at an average of 28.02. An excellent finisher, Yuvi's knocks down the order helped India win a lot of matches. His exquisite fielding ability was also commendable. The Chandigarh-born player was another vital cog during India's 2011 World Cup winning campaign and also named the Player of the Tournament for scoring 362 runs and picking up 15 wickets.
Yuvi currently plays for Punjab in the Ranji Trophy. He will soon be seen playing for the Mumbai Indians in the 2019 edition of IPL.
#6 Dinesh Karthik (wk)
Dinesh Karthik could never be a prominent figure in the Indian team due to the omnipresence of MS Dhoni. However, Karthik has never given up and always been in and out of the team. The 33-year-old is currently a part of India's ODI team on tour down under. He scored an unbeaten 25 of paramount importance in the previous match against the Aussies on 15 January 2019.
The Chennai-born player has scored 1025 runs in 26 Tests he has played for the nation. DK made the most of the limited opportunities he got and played some handy knocks in the limited overs format. The Right-handed batsman has scored 1700 runs at an average of 30.91 in 88 ODIs played for the Men in Blue.
The quintessential player has also been an integral figure in the IPL and amassed 3401 runs in 168 matches. The prolific Karthik is also currently the captain of Kolkata Knight Riders and will look to lead them to another title in 2019.
#7 Ajit Agarkar
41-year-old Ajit Agarkar had a fantastic record for India in all three formats. The Mumbai-born player played 26 Tests in which he picked up 58 wickets. His ODI record is the most impressive. Ajit picked up 288 wickets in 191 ODIs at an average of 27.85 and strike rate of 32.93.
The right-arm fast-medium bowler also proved to be a handy batsman on a few occasions. He scored 1269 runs in ODIs including 3 fifties and also has a Test century to his name.
Agarkar remains India's third highest wicket-taker in ODI's behind Anil Kumble and Javagal Srinath. He also represented Kolkata Knight Riders for three seasons and Delhi Daredevils for two seasons in IPL.
Post retiring from all forms of cricket in 2013, Agarkar has become a cricket analyst and can be seen sharing his ideologies for a prominent website. He also features on the cricket talk shows of some channels.
#8 RP Singh
The Rae Bareli-born RP Singh had a brilliant start to his career but soon faded away. He only played 14 Tests for India picking up 40 wickets. The 33-year-old represented India in 58 ODIs as well picking up 69 wickets at an average of 33.96. The Left-arm fast-medium pacer also has 15 wickets in 10 T20Is.
The Indian speedster had a fantastic IPL career in which he picked up 90 wickets in 82 matches at a strike rate of 19.72. RP recently played for the Pakhtoons in the T10 League at Sharjah.
RP Singh announced his retirement in September 2018. He represented Deccan Chargers, Kochi Tuskers Kerala, Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Rising Pune Supergiants in the IPL.
Injuries and inconsistent performances could not let RP Singh showcase his best for the national team. He is currently a cricket expert and can be seen featuring in various television pre-match and post-match shows as well as online publications.
#9 Piyush Chawla
Piyush Pramod Chawla proved himself as an effective leg break bowler. The Aligarh-born player played only 3 Tests for the India in which he picked up 7 wickets. He also played 25 ODIs in which he picked up 32 wickets. The 30-year-old has represented two IPL franchises, Kings XI Punjab and Kolkata Knight Riders. He is currently a part of KKR.
A well disguised googly is his most potent delivery and has fooled even the best batsmen of his time. It is unlikely that he will make a return to the national side. However, Chawla is still an integral part of Gujarat for whom he now plays in the Ranji Trophy.
Over the years, Piyush has also worked immensely on his batting. Besides picking up 12 wickets in his last 3 First class matches, Piyush has also scored 229 runs including a fifty and a century.
#10 Sreesanth
Sreesanth was one of the most notorious of the Indian cricketers. The 35-year-old picked up 87 wickets in 27 Tests he played for India. The Indian speedster also picked up 75 wickets in 53 ODIs and 7 wickets in 10 T20Is. Sreesanth had his fair share of injuries which kept him outside the team and plagued his career.
The right-arm fast-medium bowler represented Kings XI Punjab, Kochi Tuskers Kerala, and Rajasthan Royals in the IPL.
His career had a ghastly end as he was accused of spot-fixing in IPL's 6th edition. BCCI's disciplinary committee banned him for life. Even though the Kerala High court lifted the life ban on Sreesanth in 2017, it is unlikely that he will ever make a return in cricket.
Sreesanth participated in various dance shows. He also featured in Big Boss, a popular reality show, in 2018, and finished as the runner up. Sreesanth also took a liking to bodybuilding and will soon be seen featuring in Khatron Ke Khiladi 9 in 2019.
