While the Sunrisers Hyderabad have no reason to change their playing XI today, Royal Challengers Bangalore can bring in Manan Vohra and Moeen Ali in place of Brendon McCullum and Murugan Ashwin. Parthiv Patel should keep his place after his performance in the last match.

I already have Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Siddarth Kaul for this fixture. Shikhar Dhawan, who looks like he is close to finding his touch again, is the next best pick, but bringing him in now would disrupt the plans I have in place.

The choice between Bhuvneshwar and Rashid Khan was taken keeping both these matches in mind, and I will now have to ride through it. In Kohli and de Villiers, RCB have the batting firepower to make sure the Afghanistan spinner doesn’t cause a lot of damage. That Manan Vohra has a good record against him and Mandeep Singh is in form helps as well.

We have discussed previously why Kane Williamson at No.3 isn’t as good as Kane Williamson at No. 1. If Murugan Ashwin doesn't play, Alex Hales’s only real threat in RCB is Yuzvendra Chahal, so if your overseas spots aren’t locked, he could be a decent carryover pick.

Barring Mohammed Siraj, all the other RCB bowlers are capable of giving you steady returns, but keep in mind that the team are entering a five-game break before bringing any of them in.
