IPL 2019, Match 33, KKR vs RCB, Match Prediction: Who will win today's match?

Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore both desperately need a win to put their respective campaigns back on track. In the first fixture between these two teams in IPL 2019, RCB were in a great position to win the match but Andre Russell played an incredible innings to win it for KKR.

Both recent and overall history favor Dinesh Karthik's men in this matchup. They lead the KKR vs RCB head-to-head record comfortably, having won 15 out of the 24 encounters between the two franchises.

KKR had got off to a great start to the season as they won four out of their first five matches of the campaign. But since then, the franchise based in the City of Joy have lost three matches in a row. They need a win to be back in the top four of the IPL points table.

On the other hand, RCB are having a horrible campaign. Virat Kohli's men have won just one out of the first eight matches this season and they need a miracle to qualify for the playoffs.

If KKR bat first

Except for Russell, no KKR batsman has done well consistently throughout the season. The KKR team management would need to make some changes in the batting order to utilize the talent within their ranks.

RCB's bowling is one of the worst in the tournament. If KKR can get off to a good start they can post a score of around 200-210 in the first innings.

If RCB bat first

RCB's batting is over-dependent on Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers. While Parthiv Patel has played some good cameos at the top, the left-handed batsman has not been able to score big.

While the batting seems to lack depth, both Kohli and De Villiers can win matches single-handedly for their team. RCB should be looking a post a score of around 180-190 on the board.
