The Indian Premier League is known to help budding cricketers make successful careers for themselves. We have seen in the past that the cash-rich tournament can not only change a young player's life with the huge money it offers, but also give him the best possible platform to showcase his skills.

It's the kind of platform that can get them a ticket into India's national team if they perform well enough and catch the eye of the selectors.

India is flooded with talent at the moment, and the IPL is a direct bridge to the national team. Recent performances always play a key role in players getting IPL contracts, and their showings in domestic competitions like Vijay Hazare and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy would be on the radar of all the franchises.

There are many uncapped players who have impressed with their skills in these two tournaments, and they could be the target of all the eight teams in the IPL auction to be held in Kolkata on 19 December. 634 uncapped Indian players have thrown their hat in the ring for the IPL auction, and here is a look at three of them who could get huge bids:

1. Yashashvi Jaiswal

Yashasvi Jaiswal announced himself with a bang in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. The Mumbai batsman smashed 564 runs in six matches during the tournament, at an impressive average of 112.80 and a strike rate of 104.05. He had as many as three centuries and one fifty to his name.

Jaiswal is the youngest cricketer in the world to score a double century in List A cricket. The left-hander scored 203 runs off just 154 balls against Jharkhand, making everyone sit up and take notice.

The wunderkind had to go through a lot of hardships in his younger days, and his ability to fight against the odds makes him even more special. The 17-year-old has set his base price at INR 20 lakh, but he is almost certain to go for higher than that.

2. Virat Singh

Jharkhand's Virat Singh did well not only in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, but also in the recently concluded Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. The left-hander is an attacking top-order batsman and has regularly delivered the goods for his state team.

Singh scored 335 runs in the seven matches he played in the Vijay Hazare at an average of 83.75 and a strike rate of 100.60, with the help of one century and two fifties. The 21-year-old continued his good form in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy as he amassed 343 runs in the 10 matches he played.

The talented batsman scored his runs at an impressive average of 57.16 and a strike rate of 142.32. He also scored three half-centuries in the tournament.

Singh is likely to attract plenty of attention at the upcoming auction in Kolkata, as teams that need a solid batsman in the middle order would be interested in getting his signature. The youngster has set his base price at INR 20 lakh.

3. R Sai Kishore

Tamil Nadu's left-arm spinner R Sai Kishore grabbed the limelight in a big way during the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. He often bowls in the powerplay overs, and is mostly right on the money.

Sai Kishore has produced strong Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy performances in two straight years. He had scalped 15 wickets in seven matches in last year's tourney, and has carried forward in the same vein this year by scalping 20 wickets at an average of 10.40 in the 12 matches he played. Furthermore, he bowled at a staggering economy rate of 4.63 in the 2019 edition, which is an uncommon sight in the T20 version of the game.

Sai Kishore was instrumental in helping Tamil Nadu reach the final of the tournament, and has established himself as a valuable commodity. Teams like Rajasthan Royals, who don't possess a quality spinner in their ranks, might be keen to get him on-board.

Sai Kishore has set his base price at INR 20 lakh.
