IPL Fantasy 2019, Match 5, DC vs CSK - Fantasy Star of the Match

The Feroz Shah Kotla stadium at Delhi played host to Chennai Super Kings. DC were coming into this game after a convincing win against MI which was highlighted by Rishabh Pant's masterful 77 of 25.

The pitch on offer was two-paced and didn't suit free-stroke making like it did at the Wankhede stadium earlier. On this pitch, Imran Tahir got the purple cap (4 wickets in two games) and Rishabh Pant became the owner of the Orange Cap (108 runs). Such is the nature of the tournament that this can change hands as early as the next game.

After deciding to bat first, DC weren't allowed to get off to a quick start. Constant fall of wickets didn't help their cause either. The batsmen were far too circumspect against the seamers and allowed the spinners like Harbhajan Singh and Ravindra Jadeja to control the innings.

Shikhar Dhawan and Rishabh Pant threatened to get away with the game but on a whole CSK managed to pull DC to a below par total of 148 runs. On a slow, low pitch CSK were made to earn their win as they got there in the 20th over.

The match turned in the last 5 overs of the DC innings were the hosts just managed to score 26 runs. The momentum of the innings got derailed. And the person who did that to is the Fantasy Player of the match, Dwayne Bravo. His fine spell of death bowling yielded figures of 4-0-33-3.

His quality spell of death bowling ensured DC were restricted to a total less than 150 runs. Which was crucial considering how the pitch played. For all the fantasy cricket fanatics, it certainly would have been a good day at the office to have Dwayne Bravo in your side.

DJ Bravo was very effective at the back end of the innings, and his three wickets that helped CSK win would fetch lot of points. Not to forget he came in at the end to finish the innings off with a wristy flick.

Lot of value is given to the ability of an all-rounder to contribute to the team's success in order to get more points. DJ Bravo certainly managed to do that. Dwayne Bravo won the FBB most stylish player of the match award.

Lot of people may have banked on Rishabh Pant or probably Shane Watson or Shikhar Dhawan to deliver most points but tonight was DJ Bravo's.
