The IPL final is the last match of IPL and is the title decider match. Top four teams in the table after the league stage qualify for the playoffs. The top two teams play the Qualifier 1, winner of which directly gets a place in the IPL final match.
The third and fourth-placed teams play the Eliminator and the winning team face the losing team of Qualifier 1 and Qualifier 2. The winning team of Qualifier 2 goes to the final. Due to this process, the teams try to qualify for the IPL playoffs in the top two spots as it gives them two chances to get into the final.
