The 16th edition of the Indian Premier League finally came to an end with the Chennai Super Kings winning their 5th title. MS Dhoni-led CSK defeated Gujarat Titans in a close game by 5 wickets to get their nameplate added to the IPL gold for the 2023 season. Above is the list of IPL Winners & Runners-Up list


Played between 10 franchises for the first time since 2011, the tournament saw some incredible matches filled with entertaining doses of cricket as youngsters, and experienced players from India and abroad teamed up to present enthralling action for a period of close to 2 months!. The return of IPL to the country gained traction from every nook and corner. The tournament was played in its usual home & away format after the COVID-19 era.

After winning the toss and electing to field, Gujarat Titans posted a mammoth total of 214 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. However, rain hampered the game and it was reduced to 15 overs and CSK got a target of 171 runs to chase.

Chasing 171 for the title win, Chennai Super Kings got off to a great start on the back of their openers. They stitched a partnership of 74 runs for the 1st wicket. Later on, the game went down the wire and Jadeja guided MS Dhoni led CSK to its 5th title in IPL history. The southpaw scored six and a boundary on the final two balls of the game in order to register an emphatic win over defending champions Gujarat Titans, who were playing their 2nd consecutive IPL final.


Apart from this, a number of awards were presented for the complete season where we saw talents getting recognition for their consistent effort in the competition. Here, we present the complete list of awards presented to the players and teams in the 2024 season of the IPL.
