Royal Challengers Bangalore defeated Delhi Daredevils by six wickets in the nineteenth match of IPL 2018. AB de Villiers was on top of this game as he ensured his team cruised to the target. With this victory, the winning side stands in fifth position on the points table.

Here are the key moments from the second innings of this match.

#1 Four 4s in a row

Virat Kohli and ABD were playing cautiously until the seventh over. However, the duo switched gears and the Proteas batsman hit Shahbaz Nadeem for three fours in a row with the help of two sweeps and a back foot punch.

The skipper joined the party in the next over as he hit the first ball between deep square and deep midwicket for a four. Bangalore added 16 runs in a mere four balls which set the tone for the rest of the innings.

#2 AB’s maximum sixes

AB de Villiers hit the ball all over the ground as he smashed five massive sixes, which included the longest six of the season at 106 meters, in his unbeaten score of 90 runs from 39 balls.

The “Player of the Match” didn’t let the bowlers catch a break and scored 10 fours, and in total, 78% of his runs came from the boundaries.

With this innings, he has put every opponent bowler on notice for the rest of the season.

#3 Virat Kohli’s dismissal

The partnership between the Indian captain and the South African run-machine proved to be pivotal in the run chase. However, Kohli was dismissed thanks to a stunning catch by Trent Boult just millimeters away from the boundary.

Boult's upper body was well over the boundary line in the air but he managed to curb his momentum.

Virat Kohli looked at him in shock as he couldn’t believe the incredible effort. At the same moment, the Daredevil’s captain, Gautam Gambhir, was delighted as his side got rid of this partnership.

#4 Catches win matches

This is an old saying in the world of cricket. The Delhi team learned this by being on the receiving side of it.

In the fifth over, Kohli edged a delivery from Nadeem which went past slip. Notably, he was only on four runs and his dismissal could have turned the game around for the Daredevils.

During the thirteenth over, Corey Anderson got a thick outside edge which landed successfully. It was the opportunity for the bowling side to capitalize on Kohli’s departure but they failed to grab it.
