Lehmann hopeful over Warner fitness
After being struck by a bouncer during a practice match, Australia batsman David Warner is making a good recovery.
David Warner is making good progress in his recovery after being hit in the neck by a bouncer and Australia coach Darren Lehmann is hopeful he will be fit to take on Bangladesh.
The opening batsman passed a concussion test following the blow from a Josh Hazlewood delivery during an intra-squad practice match in Darwin on Tuesday.
And Lehmann offered a positive update on Warner the following day, with his side set to fly out to Asia on Friday.
"He seems alright, walking around the ground today, so fingers crossed he'll be okay and we'll get an update in the next day or two," he said.
"It's always a scare when that happens, isn't it? Hopefully he's going to be okay."
Australia will play two Tests in Bangladesh, the first of which starts this month, before beginning the home Ashes series against England in November.
