With less than a year to go for the 2019 World Cup, teams have already begun their preparations for the tournament. While a lot of players will be playing their first ICC World Cup, there are quite a lot of players, legends included, who will be calling it a day post the major ICC event. Here is the country-wise list of all the players who are likely to bid adieu to the game post the World Cup.

India

With Rishabh Pant growing into a world-class player and Dinesh Karthik continuously knocking on the selector's door with great performances, it is no surprise that MS Dhoni will call it a day post the 2019 world cup. In fact, in a press conference post the Worldt20 2016, MS Dhoni himself had expressed desire to go on until the 2019 World Cup. Indian Cricket won't be the same anymore without MS Dhoni's acumen, game-reading and wicket-keeping skills.

Others who will officially call it a day include legends of the 2011 World Cup like Yuvraj Singh, Gautam Gambhir and Harbhajan Singh.

Post the World Cup, legends such as Hashim Amla - the rock-solid opener, Dale Steyn - the swing king who just recently came back tot he ODI team and Imran Tahir - South Africa's best ever wrist spinner, are likely to bid adieu to the game

Easily the most controversial yet the most loved player, West Indies second highest run scorer in ODI cricket after Brian Lara, the most valuable T20 player ever, the Calypso King, Chris Gayle is set to retire from ODIs after the 2019 World Cup.

Chris Gayle's retirement will not only leave a dent in West Indies cricket but will also sadden his fans all over the world who loved his machismo and big sixes on the field.

Apart from Gayle, Darren Sammy, Marlon Samuels and Dwayne Bravo, who were the backbone of the 2016 WorldT20 winning side but are not currently in the scheme of things in West Indian cricket, are also likely to officially announce their retirement post the 2019 World Cup.

Pakistan

With new left arm pacers coming in plenty and getting selected in Pakistan cricket, fast bowling sensations like Wahab Riaz and Sohail Tanvir are also likely to officially announce their retirement.

Sri Lanka

Sri Lankan pace bowling sensation and most likely their best fast bowler ever, Lasith Malinga is set to call it a day from limited overs format post the 2019 World Cup.

Spin bowling all-rounder, Dilruwan Perera, who is 36 years of age as of now, is also likely to call it a day post the 2019 World Cup.

Another player who is officially likely to quit is playing days is pace bowler Nuwan Kulasekara. He officially called it a day from test cricket in 2016 and is currently not a part of the odi squad.
