The LSG Squad 2024 looks better than ever with coach Justin Langer assembling a strong squad for the new season. Lucknow Super Giants changed their backroom staff before the 2024 season, with coach Andy Flower leaving for RCB and Gautam Gambhir leaving for KKR. The new management did a phenomenal job at the auction.

LSG Players List 2024 features some new all-rounders and bowlers. Coach Justin Langer and the rest of the team management only had to fill in the vacant places, which were of the back-up all-rounders and bowlers only.

David Willey was one of the new additions to the LSG Team 2024. Fast bowler Shivam Mavi, who has played for the Kolkata Knight Riders in the past, was sold to Lucknow Super Giants for INR 6.4 crore. He was among the most expensive players of the auction in Dubai.

Uncapped spinner Manimaran Siddarth has also joined the Lucknow Super Giants team. He got a contract worth INR 2.4 crore from the LSG franchise at the IPL 2024 Auction. Australia’s Ashton Turner has returned to the IPL after a long time, with Justin Langer bringing him to the Lucknow Super Giants Team 2024.

IPL 2024 Auction Rules

All 10 franchises were given a long list of rules for the IPL 2024 Auction. The IPL teams had to follow the below list of rules when participating in IPL 2024 Auction:

1. The trading window closed before the auction, but it will open again on December 20.

2. The maximum number of players in an IPL squad is 25. The lowest number of players in a squad is 18 players.

3. All teams have to compulsorily use at least 75% of their auction purse while participating in IPL 2024.

IPL 2024 Auction LSG’s Purse Value

Lucknow Super Giants only had INR 13.15 crore in the purse before the IPL 2024 Auction. LSG decided to retain most of their players ahead of the auction. Hence, they were only left with INR 13.15 crore in the auction. Still, they made fine use of the budget they had with them and formed a great squad.

IPL 2024 LSG Traded Players

Lucknow Super Giants executed two trades before the IPL 2024 Auction. Devdutt Padikkal was added to LSG Squad 2024 from the Rajasthan Royals before the auction. They traded out Avesh Khan to RR, and Romario Shepherd was traded to Mumbai Indians in an all-cash deal.
