Chris Morris became the most expensive signing in IPL history during the 2021 auction. The Rajasthan Royals bid a whopping INR 16.25 crore to acquire the all-rounder’s services. Morris played 11 matches in IPL 2021, scalping 15 wickets and scoring 67 runs.

Yuvraj Singh - 16 crore


Yuvraj Singh owns the record for the most expensive Indian signing in IPL auction history. Delhi Capitals broke the bank and spent INR 16 crore to sign Singh in 2015. The all-rounder 248 runs and picked up one wicket in 14 matches that season.

Pat Cummins - 15.5 crore


Australian all-rounder Pat Cummins received a contract worth INR 15.5 crore from the Kolkata Knight Riders at IPL Auction 2020. The pace-bowling all-rounder took 12 wickets and scored 146 runs in 14 games of IPL 2020.

Kyle Jamieson - 15 crore


New Zealand all-rounder Kyle Jamieson made his IPL debut in 2021 after the Royal Challengers Bangalore submitted a massive INR 15 crore bid at IPL Auction 2021. Jamieson played nine games in IPL 2021, scoring 65 runs and picking up nine wickets.

Rising Pune Supergiant acquired the services of Ben Stokes for INR 14.5 crore at IPL Auction 2017. Stokes justified the price tag and won the Man of the Season award by scoring 316 runs and scalping 12 wickets.

Glenn Maxwell - 14.25 crore


Yet another all-rounder to feature on this list is Australia’s Glenn Maxwell. Royal Challengers Bangalore signed him for INR 14.25 crore at the IPL Auction 2021. Maxwell performed brilliantly and returned with 513 runs and three wickets in 15 appearances for RCB.

Another Australian who earned a big deal at IPL Auction 2021 was Jhye Richardson. Punjab Kings signed him for INR 14 crore, but Richardson played only three games, scalping three wickets.

Yuvraj Singh appears for the second time on this list. Before Delhi Capitals offered him a deal worth INR 16 crore, Royal Challengers Bangalore paid him INR 14 crore for his services in 2014. Singh scored 376 runs and scalped five wickets for RCB.
