Former England cricketer Nasser Hussain revealed his current limited overs XI during the 4th ODI between England and Pakistan in Headingley displaying a paper and it is a remarkable fact that only 1 England player is included in his squad. Hussain has led the ‘Three Lions’ for a considerable period of time in which they have tasted success having won major away tour against big teams like Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

South African batsman Quinton de Cock along with David Warner were placed as openers in his team. Quinton de Kock is one of the most impressive left-handers in the present day with a remarkable ODI average of 41.83 including 10 centuries in the 63 matches he played, while Warner is already an established cricketer at the International level.

The next two cricketers in the list are Indians, and it is hardly difficult to guess who they are. Rohit Sharma has the highest individual ODI score of 264 in a match against Sri Lanka two years at the famous Eden Gardens in Kolkata, and it has played a key role in many ODI wins for the ‘Men in Blue’ during his 148-match career. Virat Kohli is an automatic choice in the team, being the best batsman in the 50-over format in recent times and is also considered to be one of the greatest ever to play the game.

Kane Williamson finds a place in the squad due to his consistent performances for the ‘Black Caps’ for the past two years. The right-hander is gradually becoming a backbone of the New Zealand’s batting line-up across all the formats.

Maintaining an empire built by Steve Waugh and Ricky Ponting is not an easy task to execute but Steven Smith has delivered more than expected for the “Baggy Greens”, performing consistently with the bat as well as a skipper.

All-rounder Ben Stokes is the only player from England to feature in the list. Ravichandran Ashwin is very useful as a spinner and in also quite capable chipping in with valuable runs in the lower order which makes him a member of the XI. West Indian Sunil Narine will support the Indian as the second spinner in the XI.

The last two places in the XI are reserved for two renowned fast bowlers in the present day-- the fierce Dale Steyn and the versatile Trent Boult.
