We look at the top 5 talking points for India from this stunning series victory:

#1 Spinners shine under pressure

Spinners shine in the final
Spinners continued their good form in the finals

Washington Sundar and Yuzvendra Chahal have now formed a formidable partnership for India in T20Is. They continued their good form in the final as well. Sundar and Chahal rose to the occasion, giving just 38 runs from their 8 overs and picking 4 wickets.

Both are temperamentally strong and while Chahal lures batsmen into false strokes with his loop and guile, Sundar relies more on being two steps ahead of the batsmen. They bowled the pressure overs in the powerplay and pushed Bangladesh back early in the final.

#2 Ineffective Indian Pacers

Playing in the big final with packed houses can be nerve-racking. The Indian pacers leaked 126 runs off their 12 overs, taking only two wickets. Unadkat pulled things back somewhat but Shankar and Thakur struggled to stop the flow of runs.

They must learn to keep their nerve in pressure moments. Throughout the tournament, the Indian pacers bowled with vitality and thought. This final will be a major part of their learning curve.

#3 Captain's knock by Rohit Sharma

Rohit Sharma played a captain's knock in the final to hold the innings together. His innings was filled with silken strokes and effortless sixes. He started aggressively, taking a particular liking to the spinners.

He played a calm and calculated innings of 56. India lost two quick wickets in the early part of the chase but he forged critical partnerships with Rahul and Pandey to strengthen India's grip on the final.

#4 Vijay Shankar's Nightmare

Baptism by fire for Vijay Shankar

Vijay Shankar had never batted in an international match until now. He walked in when the required rate was touching 10. He started off well but somehow lost his way in the heat of a high-pressure final.

He had an ordinary outing with the bat and struggled to connect when the pressure was on. He went for the glory shot once too often and struggled for timing. This experience would have taught him a lot though. He must learn that on days when you are struggling, the non-striker's end is the best place to be. Rotating the strike is the easiest way to release the tension in pressure situations.

#5 Dinesh Karthik - You beauty!

Dinesh Karthik walked in with India requiring 34 off the last two overs. He had no option but to go for boundaries. He seemed focused and lofted Rubel high into the night sky off his very first ball. He scored 22 runs off that over but his finest act was to come in the last over.

India required 5 off the last ball. Karthik was facing the part-time medium pacer Soumya Sarkar. He bowled a wide ball which Karthik nailed over extra cover to send the crowd and the Indian camp into delirium. For Karthik, a man who debuted before MS Dhoni, it was a moment of redemption.
