"Malinga cannot be replaced"- Dimuth Karunaratne
Sri Lanka captain Dimuth Karunaratne paid tribute to ''legend'' Lasith Malinga, who will retire from ODI cricket after the series-opener against Bangladesh in Colombo on Friday.

Karunaratne said the most fitting way to honour the paceman will be to beat Bangaldesh at the R Premadasa Stadium.

The Sri Lanka side held a practice session in the capital on Wednesday but retiring star Malinga, who trained on Tuesday, was absent from the session.

Instead, he could be seen talking to teammates and media in casual dress, as he takes a rest ahead of his final ever ODI appearance.

In a career spanning 15 years, the 35-year-old with a distinctive slinging bowling action has played in 225 one-day internationals and taken 335 wickets.

He retired from Test cricket in 2010 after taking 101 wickets in 30 matches
