Sunrisers Hyderabad will play Delhi Daredevils in Match-42 of IPL 2016. We are moving into the back end of the tournament and the race for the top-four is heating up. After that wobbly start to IPL 2016, SRH has come back with a lot of gusto. Sunrisers Hyderabad leads the points table with fourteen points. This high-flying unit will look for another win at their home ground in Hyderabad.
Delhi Daredevils had a complete turnaround in fortunes. Last year, Delhi Daredevils finished IPL in the bottom half of the table. With a young squad and a new mentor in Rahul Dravid, Delhi Daredevils is a much stronger side. Delhi will look to push for a playoff spot. However, DD has to overcome in-form Sunrisers Hyderabad.

If Sunrisers Hyderabad bats first
Predicted score: 170 and above
This is Sunrisers Hyderabad’s last home game of this season. SRH will look to finish the home campaign on a high. SRH are on a four-match winning streak and stopping Hyderabad looks difficult.
David Warner is the man-in-form for Sunrisers Hyderabad. He led his team from the front and guided them to victory in most of the matches. Shikhar Dhawan has found some form; he’s playing the anchor innings beautifully. We can expect another solid opening partnership between these two.
Kane Williamson and Yuvraj Singh will provide much-needed middle order stability. Yuvraj Singh’s previous two games were decent. He would want to convert those starts to a fifties in this match. Williamson will need to improve his run tally in this match.
In the lower middle order, Hooda, Henriques, and Naman Ojha haven’t had a remarkable IPL so far. Henriques struggled with the bat right from the start of IPL 9.
Sunrises Hyderabad has the best bowling unit of IPL 2016. Bhuvneshwar Kumar has bowled excellently in first few overs. He bowled another first over maiden against Rising Pune Supergiants. Kumar is in the running for the purple cap with fourteen wickets. Ashish Nehra’s experience will come in handy. He may pick up few important wickets if the ball is doing something.
There is not much to say about the Bangladeshi youngster, Mustafizur Rahman. He has been in excellent form and is difficult to put away. Sran is enjoying his season so far, he too has been a strike bowler for SRH.
We haven’t seen a lot of spin for Sunrisers Hyderabad this year. Warner will likely not play a spinner against DD.
If Delhi Daredevils bat first
Predicted score: 160 and above
This is a crucial game for Delhi Daredevils. DD will likely play their strongest playing XI in this match. Quinton de Kock has been in good nick and will open the innings with the bat. Delhi has options in the batting order. Youngsters such as Pant, Sanju Samson, and Karun Nair have played key roles for Delhi in the past. DD may promote any of these youngsters to an opening role to support de Kock.
DD’s youngsters will have to be in the runs once again. Sam Billings had a fantastic first game against Kolkata Knight Riders. Duminy has been in good form too. These players will add vital runs in the middle overs.
To finish the game, DD has big-man Carlos Brathwaite. He has destroyed bowlers in the last overs. Not to forget Chris Morris from South Africa. He was spectacular against Gujarat Lions. He scored an unbeaten 82 runs off just 32 balls. Delhi would want these players to strike hard in this game as well.
In the bowling department, Delhi Daredevils has a lot of experience. Zaheer Khan will likely lead from the front. Muhammed Shami has been inconsistent so far. Not only that, he has been expensive. This will be Delhi’s major concern ahead of this match.
Experienced leg-spinner Amit Mishra will look to pick a few wickets as well. In the death overs, well… It is Chris Morris. He has been in tremendous form with the ball as well.
