At the end of a month-long tour, West Indies finally had a trophy to take home, by winning the shortest and their most favourite format. Having lost the Test and then the ODI series, visitors were low on confidence for sure before going into the series. But, the defending world T20 champions showed why they should never be underestimated in this format.

In the first match, Sheldon Cottrell's 4 for 28 restricted Bangladesh to 129. Even this score could not have been possible if not for Shakib's 61. West Indies chased down the target with more than 9 overs to spare, thanks to the blistering 55-off-23 from Shai Hope which included 6 sixes.

In the second match, Bangladesh made a tremendous comeback and levelled the score 1-1. A near-perfect batting performance took the hosts to a decent total of 211. Liton Das, in particular, played exceptionally well and scored a quick half-century. He was well-supported by his fellow batsmen. Bangladesh's bowlers also had a decent outing, particularly Shakib, who took a 5-wicket haul for the team. Bangladesh won the match by 36 runs.

In the series decider, West Indies rode on Evin Lewis's quickfire 89-off-36 to post 190 when they should easily have gotten close to 225. Bangladeshi bowlers did a tremendous job at the second-half of the West Indian inning. In reply, Bangladesh started off really well and were past 60 in just 4 overs. In the 5th over, they lost Soumya and Shakib on the successive deliveries and this derailed their chase. They were bundled out for 140 and lost the match by a margin of 50 runs.
