One Day International Cricket is not the same anymore. Earlier, the scores of 260-270 were considered to be a defendable total but nowadays even the scores of 300-325 are chased down very easily.

The batsmen have dominated the game in the past decade and the fact that 7 double hundreds have been scored since 2010 just acknowledges the trend. The English team shattered the long-standing record of the highest total in an ODI innings by smashing 481/6 in a match against Australia.

However, there have been instances where the bowlers have had the upper hand and have been able to dismiss the opposition team very cheaply.

#10 Afghanistan - 58 vs Zimbabwe, 2016

Afghanistan and Zimbabwe clashed in an ODI series in the 2015/16 season. In the third ODI of the series which was being played in the U.A.E, Zimbabwe elected to bat first after winning the toss. They lost both the openers for ducks and the Zimbabwean team was in trouble.

Hamilton Masakadza (83) kept on scoring runs from one end but did not get support from his partners. No. 9 batsman Graeme Cremer scored a half-century as the Zimbabwean innings folded for 175. Mirwais Ashraf had picked 3 wickets for Afghanistan.

It seemed like that the Afghans would win the match easily but the Zimbabwean bowlers had other plans as they caused the Afghan batsmen to collapse as only one batsman could reach double digits.

Jongwe scalped 5 wickets giving away just 6 runs as he led the charge for the visitors. Afghanistan were shot out for just 58 runs in 16.1 overs as they lost the match by 117 runs.

In the final ODI match of the Bangladesh vs Windies series played at Chittagong, West Indies were invited to bat first by the hosts. The visitors had a 2-0 lead and were expected to dominate the third ODI as well. But the Bangladeshi bowlers completely outplayed the opposition with a clinical performance.

Shakib Al Hasan finished the innings with figures of 4/16 while Nasir Hossain (2/3) and S Shuvo (1/2) took 3 wickets between them to rattle the Windies side. K Powell (25) was the top scorer for the Caribbeans who were bundled out for 61 by the Bangla Tigers inside 22 overs.

Tamim Iqbal and Mushfiqur Rahim's patient innings helped the hosts secure a consolation victory in the 3rd match. Shakib Al Hasan was adjudged the man of the match for his brilliant bowling performance.

In the first ODI of Sri Lanka vs South Africa series in 2012, hosts South Africa batted first after winning the toss. Hashim Amla played a wonderful innings where he scored 112 runs and led South Africa to a total of 301/8 in their 50 overs. Jacques Kallis and skipper AB de Villiers too contributed with half-centuries to support Amla.

Sri Lanka were set a target of 302 and with the likes of T Dilshan, K Sangakkara, D Chandimal and M Jayawardene in their batting line-up, they were expected to give a tough fight to the Proteas.

However, the Lankan lions completely surrendered to Morne Morkel and L Tsotsobe's pace and swing as they lost all their wickets for just 43 runs in 20.1 overs. They had a run rate of just 2.13 in the innings. South Africa won the match by 258 runs.

In the 19th match of the ICC World Cup 2011, co-hosts Bangladesh were up against the mighty West Indies team at Dhaka. Captain Shakib Al Hasan won the toss and chose to bat first but never did he know that the Bangladeshi batting line-up would collapse in the manner it did.

Not even a single batsman could cross the 25-run mark as Kemar Roach, S Benn and opposition captain Darren Sammy combined to take 10 wickets between them, leaking just 58 runs.

Chasing 59, West Indies lost their opener D Smith but achieved the total quite easily in the end. The Caribbeans won the match with 226 balls to spare which gave a big boost to their net run rate in the group stage of the 2011 World Cup.

Sri Lanka and Australia played a 5-match ODI series Down Under in the year 2013. Both the teams had won 1 game each heading into the third match.

Australia batted first at Brisbane in the third game and suffered one of the most embarrassing collapses in their cricket history. Nuwan Kulasekara took a 5-wicket haul and Malinga too picked 3 wickets as Sri Lanka bowlers dominated the Australian batsman.

A last-wicket partnership of 34 runs between Mitchell Starc and Xavier Doherty helped Australia reach 74 runs before losing all their wickets.

Australia fought back brilliantly in the match and picked 6 Sri Lankan wickets but the target was too small in the end as Mahela Jayawardene's team won the match by 4 wickets. N Kulasekara was awarded the man of the match award for fantastic bowling performance.

New Zealand hosted Pakistan for a 5-match ODI series earlier this year and had won the first two matches of the series. In the third match at Dunedin, they batted first and reached 257 in their innings, riding on Kane Williamson and Ross Taylor's half centuries. Hasan Ali and R Raees picked 3 wickets each as Pakistan were set a target of 258.

In reply, however, the Pakistani batsmen completely failed to deal with the swing and pace of Trent Boult. The left arm pacer picked up 5 wickets in just 7.2 overs and troubled the opposition batsmen a lot.

Pakistan were 32/8 at one stage but Ashraf, Amir and Raees' patient innings helped them reach 74. Pakistan lost the match by 183 runs and also lost the series, giving away New Zealand an unassailable lead of 3-0 in the series.

Virat Kohli and his men toured South Africa earlier this year and the two teams played a 6-match ODI series as a part of the tour. India won the first match and had the momentum on their side heading into the second ODI. South Africa batted first in the match and Amla and Q de Kock provided a stable start to the Proteas.

However, things changed suddenly when Y Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav were introduced into the attack. The two spinners took 8 wickets between them and sent the home side packing for just 118 runs.

A half century from Shikhar Dhawan and 46 runs by Virat Kohli assured that India won the match quite comfortably in the end. Leg-spinner Chahal received the man of the match award for his 5 wicket haul in the first innings.

In the final match of the 5-match series, India and New Zealand clashed at Vizag with the series all square at 2-2. India batted first in this important match and Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma's fine knocks helped them post a total of 269/6 in 50 overs.

The New Zealanders had to score 270 to win the series. But, the Indian team did not even give NZ a chance to be in the chase as they kept taking wickets at regular intervals.

NZ skipper Kane Williamson tried to fight back but was dismissed by Axar Patel for 27. Amit Mishra cleaned up the lower order and took 5 wickets in the match as India skittled out the Black Caps for a paltry score of 79 runs.

The Indian team played a triangular series with Sri Lanka and New Zealand in the year 2010 and clashed with the Kiwis in the first match of the series. India were asked to bowl first in the match and a 4-wicket haul by Ashish Nehra along with Praveen Kumar's 3 wickets helped India restrict NZ to 288. Ross Taylor and Scott Styris were the top scorers for the Kiwi side.

Dinesh Karthik and V Sehwag opened the innings for India and added 39 runs in 7 overs to get India off to a stable start. However, the middle order of the Indian team collapsed in an embarrassing manner as the Men in Blue lost all their remaining 9 wickets for less than 50 runs.

D Tuffey picked 3 wickets while K Mills dismissed 2 Indian batsmen as India lost the match by 200 runs.

After winning the first match of the series, hosts England battled Sri Lanka at Chester le Street in the second match of the 5-match series. Sri Lankans were invited to bat first and T Dilshan's 88 helped them reach a defendable score of 256 runs. H Gurney took 3 wickets for England.

Nuwan Kulasekara totally baffled the English batsmen with his swing bowling as he sent the top 3 batsmen of the team back to the pavilion in no time. He was supported by S Senanayake who took care of the lower order by dismissing 4 batsmen as Sri Lanka levelled up the series with an emphatic win.

Captain Eoin Morgan scored 40 runs but did not get support from his teammates as his team was shot out for just 99 runs.
