The 2019 edition of T10 League ended with a lopsided final match between the Maratha Arabians and the Deccan Gladiators. The Arabians clinched the title after defeating the Shane Watson-led side by 8 wickets. With this triumph, the Maratha Arabians have become the 3rd side in the history of T10 league to lift the trophy after Kerala Kings and Northern Warriors won the title in the year 2017 and 2018.

A plethora of international cricketers had taken part in this unique league which featured 8 teams, including Yuvraj Singh, Chris Lynn, Shane Watson, Eoin Morgan and Andre Russell.

Fours and sixes rained at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi as the players entertained the cricket fans in the UAE.

#5 Jordan Clark (Best Bowling Figures)

29-year-old all-rounder Jordan Clark was purchased by the Qalandars for the 3rd edition of T10 league. His domestic record while playing for the English counties helped him in attracting a T10 League contract.

Clark emerged as the 4th highest wicket-taker of the tournament with 9 wickets in 8 matches. His figures of 4/20 against the champions, Maratha Arabians proved to be the best bowling figures of the tournament. Jordan had taken the wickets of Chris Lynn, Najibullah Zadran, Yuvraj Singh and Dasun Shanaka in his 2-over spell during Qualifier 1.

Based on his current form, he can earn contracts from the teams that take part in T20 leagues around the world.

34-year-old Sri Lankan bowling all-rounder, Seekkuge Prasanna showcased his talent during the T10 League. He was a part of the Qalandars team which finished at the fourth position. Even though his side did not fare well in the playoffs, his performance was always up to the mark.

He played 5 matches for his side where he bowled 6 overs of right-arm leg-break. He conceded 33 runs and picked up 4 wickets. Prasanna achieved his best bowling figures of 2/7 against the Northern Warriors. His tendency to take wickets at regular intervals made him an important member of Qalandars’ bowling attack.

The Sri Lankan bowled at a fantastic average of 8.25 and emerged as the bowler with the best average in the tournament. No other bowler who bowled over 5 overs in the tournament had a better average than him. The former Barisal Bulls player has not played a single T20I for Sri Lanka since 2017 but with this performance, he would have gained the Sri Lankan selectors’ attention.

After being released by the Mumbai Indians franchise ahead of IPL 2020, Ben Cutting impressed the fans while playing in the T10 league 2019. The Mumbai-based franchise might regret their decision of dropping him as Cutting is in phenomenal form at the moment. He was a part of the Deccan Gladiators side which ended the tournament as the runners-up.

Born in Queensland, Ben played 9 matches in the league. He smashed 91 runs at an average of 91.00 in the tournament. The Aussie played his best knock of 43 runs against the Qalandars in Eliminator 2.

The former Sunrisers Hyderabad star lost his wicket only once in T10 League 2019 but that happened in the final match against Maratha Arabians.

To emerge as the leading wicket-taker from a tournament where players like Zaheer Khan, Andre Russell and Ravi Rampaul are competing, is a matter of pride for every bowler. On top of that, to trouble the batsmen in a format like T10 is another big thing. 22-year-old George Garton achieved this rare feat in T10 League 2019. The left-arm pacer from Sussex played for the Qalandars this year.

With his left-arm pace bowling, Garton bagged 12 wickets in 9 T10 matches. He bowled 16 overs and had a bowling average of 13.67. He recorded his best bowling figures of 3/10 against the Northern Warriors in the league stage.

Chris Lynn stole the show in Abu Dhabi with his clean hitting. The star batsman from Australia thrashed all the star bowlers in this tourney. He was the cornerstone of the Maratha Arabians and his batting performances helped them in winning their first T10 title.

While opening the innings for his side, Lynn smashed 371 runs from 8 matches at an average of 53. He even shattered the record for the highest individual score in a T10 match by playing a knock of 91 runs against Team Abu Dhabi. The right-handed batsman batted with a strike-rate of 303.33 in that innings and entertained the fans at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium.

He had even led the Arabians in a few games and ultimately, Lynn won the ‘Best Batsman’ award of the tourney.
