Team India captain Virat Kohli is set to miss the first T20I between India and Ireland in June, owing to his commitments with England's County club, Surrey. There were speculations that the 29-year-old's County stint would be truncated due to the Ireland series, but it has now been confirmed that he will be present at Surrey for the entire duration of his contract.

"He'll be playing for us in the Yorkshire game and will then be available for the second T20 in Ireland," Surrey's media wing told India Today.

Kohli was named captain of the Indian team for the two-T20I series against Ireland, with matches scheduled to take place on June 27 and June 29. He is currently captaining the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the ongoing Indian Premier League.

It is set to be Kohli's debut English County stint.

While the two T20Is will be played at Malahide, in Ireland on the above-mentioned dates, a four-match game involving Surrey is slotted to take place from June 25-28 in Scarborough in the United Kingdom, more than 300 miles from the venue of the T20Is.

Surrey had, on their website, confirmed that Kohli will be present for the entire month of June until the game at Scarborough against Yorkshire: "Kohli will be available for all cricket throughout the until the close of Surrey's trip to Scarborough to face Yorkshire (June 25 to 28)."

Here's India squad for the two T20Is against Ireland:
