Kenya was an associate team which had qualified for the 2011 World Cup under the leadership of Jimmy Kamande. With less talented players, Kenya lost every match of the tournament and exited Asia without a win.

Jimmy Kamande was sacked from the position of the captain due to the poor performance of the team under his leadership in the 2011 World Cup.

Kamande never stepped back on the ground since 2011 after playing his final match against the Aussies in the World Cup.
