Sharma created a new World Cup record by slamming 5 centuries in the 2019 World Cup. His hundreds against Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, South Africa and Pakistan helped India win those matches however, Rohit's century against England went in vain.
Though the Hitman shone the brightest in the group stage, his World Cup campaign came to a disappointing end in the semi-final game, where he scored just one run. Nevertheless, the Mumbai-based batsman still came out as the best batsman of ICC World Cup 2019.
