Goat Simulator update 1.2 to have MMO feature

It was rumoured earlier that the popular indie title ‘Goat Simulator’ would be getting a multiplayer update. Well that rumour was confirmed today when Coffee Stain Studios, the developers behind the game, announced that they will release an update very soon which will transform this whacky title into a massive online multiplayer game. Update 1.2 has been titled ‘Goat MMO simulator’ and is going to be absolutely free.

Now if you’re wondering what exactly Goat Simulator is, then you don’t have to think really hard. The game, true to its name, is a simulator...but with goats. You play as a very fast..goat. The game has explosions, chaos and fast destructive ..goats. No this is not a gag, this is an actual game and it’s popular enough for the developers to create a multiplayer feature. In fact the game has been quite successful selling over 1.1 million copies on the PC alone. So this update is more of thank you to fans of the game who have contributed to its success.

Coffee Stain game designer and PR manager Armin Ibrisagic has commented on the expansion stating "Once you try out our new expansion, you guys will sh*t so many bricks that it'll trigger a new real-estate bubble".

The multiplayer feature will have five different classes to choose from including Warrior, Rogue, Magician, Hunter and a microwave with legs. This latter isn’t too crazy for a game titled ‘Goat Simulator’. The maximum level for the MMO is 101 and it features medieval environments very similar to other RPG games like World Of Warcraft and The Elder Scrolls. There will quests to complete but not a lot in the way of content. But it does feature a T-Rex if that helps.

The update will be available for download from Steam this Thursday, November 20. This update is just for the PC version of the game as of now.
