Star Wars Battlefront 3 cancelled footage revealed

Star Wars Battlefront 3 was first developed by Free Radical

One of the most requested and anticipated Star Wars game, Star Wars Battlefront 3 will be released soon which is being developed by DICE. The game was first developed by Free Radical in 2012 before the company went inoperative. Eventually, Lucas Arts cancelled the game. Later in 2013, Electronic Arts obtained rights to develop Star Wars games for gaming consoles. The game started to take shape with the help of DICE. This game is now being built with Frostbite 3 engine, with the studio head Patrick Söderlund stating that the game would be "DICE's interpretation of what Battlefront should be".

For those who are interested in seeing the 2012 version of this game, a youtube user by the name ‘BananaSwag’, has uploaded two videos of the pre-alpha gameplay videos. This is the version developed by Free Radical back in 2012. The user aptly mentions that since it is a pre-alpha version, the game has a lot of frame-rate drops. He has also mentioned that this is ported from the PC version to the Xbox 360.

The user mentioned in his description that,

Some footage of the build of Star Wars Battlefront 3 that got canceled. This build is from 2012 and was ported over from the PC. This content is not mine, it is the property of Disney. No copyright intended, this is purely for review of the build. The game looked very fun to play and runs pretty well other then the obvious frame rate drops.

The second video he uploaded has multiplayer scenarios which consists of two parts. One, the player controls Padme Amidala and searches the members of Fett family and Darth Vader. In the second part, player controls Leia who fights the Siths with a blaster.

The game graphics are really good for a 2012 release. But now the game is being developed in Frostbite 3 engine which will make the game graphics look even more realistic than this old version.
