The top trending Battle Royale game Fortnite recently launched its seventh season. The first update in Fortnite Battle Royale season 7 v7.01 included some new items and some minor changes to the game.

The hottest item of the Fortnite Battle Royale update was "Infinity Blade", a mythic item which spawns once in a match at the top of Polar Peak. Those who might not have an idea, "The Infinity Blade" is a mythic weapon whose primary fire delivers a powerful sword slash which decimates an entire structure in a single blow while limiting the player Damage to 75. The infinity sword also provides some major buffs to players by raising their max hp and shield to 200. The movement speed is also increased by 130%, which helps a lot to cover gaps instantly in a large distance fight because the Infinity Blade Wielders is almost overpowered with a single weakness that is the long range fights.

This is not the first time when Fortnite developers have discussed game matters with the community and changed the contents accordingly. The developers also stated the type of change they want to bring to the Infinity Blade in update v7.10.

The change we’re currently planning for the Infinity Blade in our v7.10 update is to remove the ability to build and harvest when wielding the Blade.
When designing the Infinity Blade the goal was to provide a weapon with inherent risk to balance out the great capability it provides - the ability to harvest/build removes a great deal of that risk. By taking away the ability to harvest/build we hope to tune the Infinity Blade to where it feels risky to have, but still satisfying to wield.
After this removal we’ll continue to monitor the Blade’s effectiveness and make adjustments as necessary as well as communicate those changes. Thank you so much for your discussion and feedback around the Infinity Blade!
