FIFA 19 Winter Upgrades: 3 Players Whose Card Should be Upgraded from Silver to Gold

Sripad

All players in the world would do anything to have a gold card in FIFA 19. Unfortunately, not everyone can get it easily. While most of the players in the top flight leagues have it, some just miss out.

For those of you who are unaware, silver cards are given to players whose ratings are between 65 and 74. The ones who are on 74 or are close to it are the unluckiest. It shows that they have the potential to become a gold rated player in the next game but just missed out on the current one.

For the latest FIFA 19 Winter Upgrades, stick to Sportskeeda.

However, some players show that they are too good to have a silver card when the season begins itself and are bound to get a huge upgrade in the winter. Here are three such players who will be upgraded from silver to gold in February:

#3 – Jadon Sancho

The biggest upgrade of the winter might be Sancho
The biggest upgrade of the winter might be Sancho

Jadon Sancho, without a shadow of a doubt, has been the best player for Borussia Dortmund this season. He has been on top of his form ever since he joined them in the summer and has even forced Christian Pulisic – who had made the right wing his own - to be benched.

The Englishman, along with Marco Reus and Paco Alcacer, has been helping BVB win games and they are now on top of the table. Dortmund are well on course to win the Bundesliga this year and Sancho has been their main man.

His FIFA rating of 72 is just not justifiable looking at his performances on the pitch. He has been so good that he even won the Player of the Month award in October. He got an 84 rated POTM card as well in Ultimate Team and many are urging FIFA to make it his base card too.

While a jump from 72 to 84 is unrealistic, no matter how good he is, EA might get him a rating around 80. Ideally, they should put him on 81 or 82 but looking at the history of upgrades, EA might push him to 80 for the time being.

#2 – Krzysztof Piątek

How is he rated just 70 in FIFA 19?
How is he rated just 70 in FIFA 19?

Krzysztof Piątek – the 70-rated FIFA star who is giving Cristiano Ronaldo a run for his money in Serie A. The Polish striker has been the best forward in the Italian league this season and has 13 goals to his name – 1 fewer than Ronaldo.

Dubbed as the next Robert Lewandowski, Piątek has hit the ground running for Genoa. They might be struggling in the 14th spot on the Serie A table but the fact that he has scored more than 50% of their goals shows how important he is.

His 70 rated card is bound to be upgraded in the winter by EA and we expect him to be pushed up to 79 at least. His shooting of 68 is the main thing EA needs to improve and push it to 83 at least.

#1 – David Brooks

A much-needed upgrade
A much-needed upgrade

In the three FIFA 19 articles I have written so far, David Brooks has featured in all of them. The midfielder doesn't get the credit he deserves and it was surprising to see him still stuck with a silver card in FIFA 19.

He is bound to get an upgrade to gold in the winter but it will be interesting to see how much of a push EA give him. The youngster has been in top form for Bournemouth and the driving force for their incredible run this season.

Rated at just 69, Brooks is sure to get at least 6+ rating boost in the winter. My prediction is that he will get pushed to at least 77-79 but again, EA have the final call. Ideally, EA should get him up to 77 this winter and then see how he does for the rest of the season and then boost him to 79 or more.
