Guacamelee Super Turbo Championship edition for PS4 will get four-player co-op update

Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition should be receiving an update sometime early next year which will expand the games co-operative player count. The game is available for the PlayStation 4.

According to a latest PS Blog post, The Metroidvania Mexican folklore inspired game by Drinkbox Studios will now support up to four players all together. The PC version of the game received a similar update last month but there has been no information from DrinkBox on whether the update will be making its way to other consoles.

Besides the Guacemelee! STCE update, Drinkbox has now released an update for the original version of Guacemelee!. The free update now adds two players to the co-op mode and even makes the game compatible with PlayStation TV. So owners of the PS3 and PS Vita versions of Guacamelee will now be able to access the game on PS TV for free.

Drinkbox Studios has also revealed its newest upcoming title ‘Severed’ at PlayStation Experience. The PS Vita exclusive game will be releasing sometime in 2015. Check out the first gameplay trailer for Severed below:
