Sony's Playstation console systems have been ruling the world of consoles from generation. The best thing in owning a Playstation device is its exclusive videogame titles. Sony's Playstation has countless exclusive titles which acted or still acts as the pillar for the consoles. Don't get my starting statement wrong its not that other consoles like Nitendo's switch or Microsoft's Xbox etc are not a worthy consoles. Its just that Sony is quite good at proving the gamer's what they need and truly seek in a videogame.

We are at the start of a new year and there are many things going around in the world of gaming. Things like new titles, upcoming game reveals, gaming events and many more. Though there are still many people who still don't owe a PS4/PS4 Pro or might not have upgraded into one. Today I am going to talk about Is Buying A PS4/PS4 Pro In 2019 A Good Choice?

If you don't own a PS4 or haven't upgraded to one and still using an old gen console then this might be a right time. Many of you would be thinking about the PS5 reveal which was done at the end of 2018. PS5 might have got a green light, though it's also true that the console was said to be in development. Well, it doesn't matter even if PS5 got a release date of 2019 or 2020 because it will take time to settle up. While there are tons of great exclusive titles in PS4 which are a masterpiece and a must play games. So, Buying a PS4 in 2019 is still worth it as it is cheaper and offers great titles.

PS4 Specification:-

PS4 consist of 3 main processors, the first is the single-chip custom processor, the second is the CPU which is an x86-64 AMD “Jaguar” with 8 cores and at last a GPU 1.84 TFLOPS, AMD Radeon™ based graphics engine with a memory of 8 GB GDDR5. In terms of storage there are two variants of PS4 one with a 500 GB of storage and another with a 1 TB of Storage. There is also HDR output support present in the base PS4.

Being direct about it Buying a PS4 in 2019 is not worth it. Let's be practical here why would you buy a PS4 Pro over the base PS4 model ?. The answer will be since it has good hardware and supports 4k. But as you see it true that PS4 Pro comes with good hardware but, the new console PS5 will be better in terms of hardware than PS4 Pro. PS5 is under development and we will probably see it launch in 2020 or almost 2020. PS4 Pro is quite an expensive console and you won't get any benefits out of it buying now. If you don't own a PS4 system then you should definitely try the base version as it is cheap, comes with many variants and offers and can be used to play all the exclusive titles.

PS4 Pro Specification:-

Sony's PS4 Pro system is quite a powerful one. Just like the original PS4, it consists of 3 main processors though they differ in terms of performance. The first one is the Single-chip custom processor, the second processor is the CPU which is an x86-64 AMD “Jaguar” with 8 cores and the last the powerful GPU: a 4.20 TFLOPS AMD Radeon based graphics engine with 8 GB of GDDR5 memory. The PS4 pro supports optical port along with 4k resolution support and of course there is HDR support in this one too.

VERDICT

At last I want to say that if you wish to switch to the current gen console. You should definitely go for the base model of the PS4. If you need a powerful console with 4k support then instead of buying the PS4 Pro you should wait for Sony's next gen console. You can experience all the masterpiece exclusive titles of PS4 in the base model while saving for the next gen console which will be more powerful than the PS4 Pro and might even support the 8k resolution or at least 4k with good fps.
