Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will feature more durable "carbon boxes"

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will now feature “carbon boxes”

It seems that the upcoming Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will include stronger boxes for players to utilize. In previous Metal Gear entries, players were offered cardboard boxes instead, which were weak, prone to gunfire and unusable when exposed to rain. This will not be the case with The Phantom Pain, which supposedly consists of different types of boxes for players to use.

Series creator, Hideo Kojima, tweeted an image from the upcoming game which showed Big Boss with a wolf and a “carbon” box instead of the regular cardboard boxes. Carbon boxes are much stronger and more durable than their cardboard counterparts, which are thinner, and more prone to external damage.

It will fun to see how players will use this box in the future. Many may choose to hide in it to avoid enemy soldiers, though they will probably be found out if the enemy AI is smart enough.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will consist of a number of unique features such as a day and night cycle and a dynamic weather system. The weather is likely to affect these boxes in some way, so players may have to choose the appropriate box for every weather condition.

Metal Gear Solid V may be in out in Q3, 2015. Kojima has promised a global release for the title, which will be available for the Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3,PlayStation 4 and PC.
