There are a variety of Colossal weapons in Elden Ring, each allowing the player to shake their playstyle up a bit and bring in more variety to how they experience exploration in the Lands Between.

Each Colossal armament brings something new to the table regarding base stats, skills, and movesets. However, each of them primarily scales off of Strength and boasts one of the highest damage output in the game.

While each of these weapons is unique, there is one in particular that players have been fancying quite a bit. The Watchdog’s Staff is a highly-coveted colossal armament that many players have been trying to get their hands on for quite a while now.

Its biggest selling point is its weapon skill called Sorcery of the Crozier, which allows the Elden Ring Tarnished to channel magic into the glinstone and activate ancient sorcery, producing floating magic projectiles that will automatically chase enemies.

The Watchdog’s Staff Colossal weapon can be found pretty early in the game. All players will be required to make their way to the Road End Catacombs in Liurnia of the Lakes, where the weapons will be present.

However, the dungeon itself is a bit hard to come by. Players often miss it when discovering Liurnia for the first time, as the thick fog in the area tends to make exploration a bit difficult to accomplish.

Hence, to obtain the Watchdog’s Staff, Elden Ring players will need to:

  • Make their way to the Road Ends Catacombs which players will be able to locate along the southwestern shorelines of Liurnia of the Lakes, near the region’s southern Minor Erdtree. Additionally, the dungeon entrance itself is a visible area on the world map which can be noticed after acquiring the Liurnia, West Map Fragment present in the West by the Kingsrealm Ruins.
  • After making their way to the catacombs, the Elden Ring tarnished are advised to follow the continue down the first stairwell until they encounter an Imp patrolling in the narrow hall. There will be another Imp guarding the door as well, waiting to ambush the player, so it’s important to rush at it and take it out.
  • Players will then make their way down the second staircase and then tuen around to strike the moss-covered Illusory Wall to reveal a hidden area. To make things easier in identifying the wall, the Tarnished will find a lot of messages just before it with phrases like “liar ahead” or “try an attack.”

  • After gaining access to the hidden area, they will spot a patrolling Imp inside the chamber, with a few others lying low to ambush the player. After taking them out, players will need to make theur way to the back-left corner of the room.
  • Here they will find a corpse with an item on it, and interacting with it, will automatically reward them with the Watchdog’s Staff for their efforts. There will be another corpse nearby, which can be looted for the Human Bone Shard x5.

Interestingly, the Watch Dog’s Sorcery of the Crozier is that while it consumes 15 Fp and can deal up to 1,300+ Magic Damage if all the missiles hit, it does not scale off of Intelligence.
