PUBG came, conquered and stayed! The game was first released on PC and it earned a huge number of players from the very beginning. Soon developers decided to launch the game on mobile which was the actual turning point. With PC PUBG being an expensive game to buy the player base was limited, it was also restricted to PC players only.

Mobile release of the game made it even more popular. Currently PUBG mobile has over 60 million players just in the South-East Asia region. Two things that made the game super popular was the fact that anyone can download it on their mobile and play from anywhere and it was free to play.

I believe this was the first ever online multiplayer battle royale game to be released on mobiles. People went crazy right after the release and here they did not have to worry about their muscle memory or reflex. While tapping the screen seems easy it takes a bit of time to master the mechanics. However, PUBG mobile adds a limited number of bots in the early stages of the game which are easy to kill and gives a player an ample amount of time to practice their aim.

The fact that anyone can play a multiplayer FPS/TPS game on mobile made the game super hit. If it was not for the mobile release, we would not be seeing such a massive player base of the game. Soon after the mobile release, PUBG released official emulator version for PC players who can play from PC and matchup with or against the mobile players. Here are the 5 most important things you need to know about the Emulator version.

#1 Free to Play

PUBG Emulator is free to play. Even though you are playing the game on a computer it is not a part of the PUBG PC game. The emulated version is created for PUBG mobile players who want to play from PC.

Since you can matchup with mobile players, you don't need a new-gen mobile to download PUBG and play with your friends. You can simply download the emulator from the official website and install it. PUBG is installed inside the emulator by default. It will allow you to play with your friends who are using mobile. However, in your solo matches, you will face enemies who are also playing from the emulator.

#2 Match Making

Every time you open the game it acts as a mobile application so it will show you a notification that emulator is detected. To keep the game balanced, players using emulators are matched against the same. If you play solo then all your enemies will be players using emulators.

If you play squad with mobile players in your squad then the enemy squads will have at least one player who is using the emulator, however other players from that squad might be playing from mobile. If you play squad where all your teammates are using emulator then all your enemies will be playing from the same platform.

#3 Cross-Platform Ranking System

By now you already know that PUBG mobile allows you to play against and with players who are using a mobile device. However, PUBG emulator will not allow you to match with and against PC players. The emulator version is basically the mobile game itself running on your computer via the emulator.

This will keep you away from the PUBG PC ranking system but include you to the mobile ranking system. You rank will be updated as you play games and you can even be featured on the leaderboard when you reach there. No, there is not a different ranking system for emulator player. They are included in the PUBG mobile server.

#4 PUBG Emulator Key-Bind and Settings options

This is a tricky part. When you try to optimize the PUBG key binds for your emulator do NOT go the settings. The game is a projection of the mobile version which was built for touch screen. The available optimization options will confuse you to death as they will give the option considering you are using a touch-screen device.

However, if you check the right side of the emulator screen, you will see a bar with multiple optimization options. If you go further right you will see another bar with the list of shortcut keys. This part of the emulator is generally hidden because the full screen or even the minimized window keeps it out of the right frame.

You might have to move the application to a little left to see the options. There you can see all the shortcut keys. For items that do not have a shortcut key, such as Night vision goggles, You will have to press CTRL to lock your mouse then click it to wear it.

#5 How to install PUBG emulator and launch it

The process is very simple. No, it is nothing like bluestacks and it will not harm your computer in any way. You can simply download the emulator from the official website. After downloading it install the software. Once its installed and you open it you will see 3 options on your left-hand side of the screen which says Login, My games, game centre.

Go to My games and PUBG is already there, click to install and restart your computer. From now you can go to My games and click on play. Erangel will be installed by default, you can open the map selection screen and download 3 other maps manually.

So go ahead, install and have fun killing!!!
