Tencent Games and PUBG Corporation's PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds Mobile had rolled out the BRDM-2 vehicle as a part of the 0.15.0 update that went live on October 16, 2019. Since then, BRDM-2 has replaced Armoured UAZ that was obtained by firing a flare gun outside the play zone in Classic Mode. The vehicle can also be found at multiple locations in the Payload Mode.

BRDM-2 Vehicle Specifications: Speed, fuel capacity and safety

BRDM-2's origin can be traced back to the Soviet Union with the acrony standing for Boyevaya Razvedyvatelnaya Dozornaya Mashina. The vehicle is an amphibious one, capable of driven on both land and water. It hits a maximum speed of a little over 100kmph on a speed boost and is just about half as fast on water. The vehicle can host up to four players at once.

The BRDM-2 has bullet-proof tires that cannot be damaged and is certainly the safest vehicle in the game, as it is almost impossible to get shot at when one is inside the vehicle. The BRDM-2's enclosed design assures protection and this shuts out players' ability to fight on the go.

Drawbacks of BRDM-2 in PUBG Mobile

The two key disadvantages of riding BRDM-2 vehicle in PUBG Mobile are that its fuel efficiency drops very low when on a speed boost and players cannot shoot while inside the vehicle. It is relatively slower than most other vehicles in the game and this, paired with a poor fuel efficiency can prove to be fatal when players are too far from the play zone, nullifying the whole point of calling for it with a flare gun. Moreover, the inability to shoot from inside the vehicle can be extremely disadvantageous while playing as a squad since enemies will be able to chase, peek and shoot from a faster vehicle.
