PUBG Mobile became a sensation in the mobile gaming industry since its launch last year, and it needs no special introduction.

However, the game that popularised the Battle Royale genre does not boast a good record when it comes to running smoothly on a budget device as the official requirements claim a minimum of 2GB RAM. Hence, the company behind the PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds franchise launched PUBG Lite, which is specifically designed to run on devices with limited RAM and processing power.

Despite the names being largely similar, both the games offer a significantly different Battle Royale experience; find below all the differences that you will between the two versions of the game.

Number of Players - PUBG vs PUBG Lite

PUBG Mobile

The regular PUBG Mobile game features up to 100 players to provide authentic PUBG experience that one finds in the PC version of the game.

PUBG Lite

PUBG Mobile Lite, on the other hand, features only 40 players, which promises to bring a faster-paced action during a Battle Royale match.

Map Size - PUBG vs PUBG Lite

PUBG Mobile

PUBG Mobile features all the maps that one sees in the PC version of the game. It features Erangel, Miramar, Sanhok and the brand-new PUBG Map Vikendi.

PUBG Lite

On the contrary, PUBG Mobile Lite introduces a new 2 km X 2 km map, which not only helps in reducing the resource consumption but also goes in line with the company's idea of providing faster-paced PUBG action.

Graphics - PUBG vs PUBG Lite

Both the titles are built using the Unreal Engine 4, but the Lite version of the game features a slight drop in the graphical content to help run it smoothly on low-end and medium-end devices.

However, despite the drop in graphical content, the core gameplay of both the titles is largely similar, which ensures that players do not miss out on the PUBG experience no matter what version of the game they're playing.

PUBG Mobile is available for both iOS and Android devices while PUBG Mobile Lite is only available on the Google Play Store.
