Registrations for WESG CS:GO and CS:GO Female Tournaments are now open!

WESG's (World Electronic Sports Games) CS:GO tournament returns this year with a whopping prize pool of $1.1 million. The tournament will comprise of CS:GO and an exclusive female only CS:GO category. Following an exhilarating series last year, WESG is bringing back the Asia-Pacific Final in which the online winners from each country in the region will compete at Kuala Lumpur in January 2020.

The tournament will be open to players from various regions across the globe and WESG has now announced a noteworthy change to the composition of teams by allowing up to two foreign players alongside a minimum of three domestic players. CS:GO

The schedule

This year's CS:GO Open Online qualifiers are scheduled to happen between November 13 and November 30 and the Closed qualifiers are scheduled from November 21 to December 23.

The format

CS:GO includes 2 Open qualifiers. Winners of the tournament will advance to the Closed Qualifiers and then to the finals. The Online Open qualifiers will have a Single Elimination bracket and the Online Closed qualifiers will follow a Double Elimination bracket. The finals will be played in best of three. CIS qualifiers will consist of Open online qualifiers and Closed online qualifiers. There will be a separate competition for male teams from Russia. The winners of WESG Russia will qualify for WESG Grand Final.

CS:GO Female

The schedule

CS:GO Female open qualifiers are scheduled from November 17 to December 8. UCC will organize and host online qualifiers this year.

The format

CS:GO Female includes 2 Open qualifiers. Winners of the tournament will directly play the finals since the tournament does not have Closed Qualifiers. The final for the closed qualifiers will be a best of 3. The Online Open qualifiers will have a Single Elimination bracket and the Online Closed qualifiers will follow a Double Elimination bracket.

Slot distribution

The top 2 teams from the Open Qualifiers of regions that do not have Closed Qualifiers will advance to the Qualifiers Finals to compete for a slot at WESG Asia Pacific Final: South Korea и MENA. Participants from Chinese Taipei will play the China Final through Open qualifiers’ finals. Since CS:GO Female does not have Closed qualifiers in all regions, European Open qualifiers’ participants will compete at the Qualifiers Finals for a slot at WESG Grand Final.

The number of teams that qualify for Closed qualifiers will vary according to the region. In Closed qualifiers, teams from Open qualifiers and invited teams will compete for a slot at WESG Grand Final. The number of participating teams depends on the region. Teams from the Asian Closed qualifiers advance to the WESG Asia Pacific Final.

Central Europe+Iberia — 4 teams from open qualifiers + 1 team from Portugal qualifiers and 3 invited teams

Africa — 2 teams from open qualifiers and 2 invited teams
