The Division 2: All the multiplayer modes present at launch

The Division 2
The Division 2

The Division 2 is the cover based shooter open world game which serves as a sequel to 2016's The Division. This time set in the post-apocalyptic Washington DC, 7 months after the chemical outbreak in New York City

The Division 2 is hoping to set the bar even higher with its multiplayer contents and planning on emphasizing even more on its end game content than the last time.

As of now, all the multiplayer modes that are confirmed to be available in the base game on launch are-

Dark Zone, Domination and Skirmish

Dark Zone

Now Dark Zone in The Division 2 has changed and is divided into 3 parts which are-

Dark Zone East, Dark Zone West and Dark Zone South.

Each Dark Zone area will provide a different experience for the players featuring new locations, difficulty level and loot. Out of the 3 Dark Zones, one of them will always be occupied which will be the hardest of them all and will be filled with other high-level players.

The other two Dark Zones will apparently go a little easy this time, helping newcomers indulge more in PVE content than PVP.

The best loot in the game will still be found in the Dark Zones.

Organised PVP

This time around, The Division 2 will also feature organised PVP in which the conflict mode consists of the likes of Domination and Skirmish which are fairly common in games such as Battlefield.

In the conflict modes, the two teams of 4 SHD agents and Rogue agents will battle against each other.

These two conflict modes will be spread out in 3 new maps outside the Washington DC area and will contain their own set of loots as well as the progression system. Keep in mind that all the loot received in these modes can be used in the open world area of The Division 2.

In Domination, the players will battle for 3 capture zones until the time runs out. While in Skirmish each time will try to eliminate or reduce the reinforcement offered by the other team in the given amount of time.

The Division 2 is out 15 February 2019 on PC, PS4 an Xbox one.
