Ubisoft reveals more details on Rainbow Six Siege closed alpha phase

Rainbow Six Siege alpha testing phase will be happening soon

Ubisoft’s upcoming first-person shooter title, Rainbow Six Siege, will be holding its closed alpha testing phase sometime soon. Ubisoft has not revealed the alphas start times, but they have instead released some more details on the selection criteria for the alpha phase. So to be part of the closed beta, players will have to be from either NA or Europe, speak English, and have a Uplay account. It is also important to note that the closed alpha is just for the PC version of the game.

You can sign up for the closed alpha here. Ubisoft will then notify you (via email) if you have been selected for the alpha phase. They have also warned players of possible scams, as some people may try to take advantage of those eager to try out the game. There will be no other method of accessing the alpha besides the one mentioned above, so be wary of those asking to input a game key.

Also, Xbox One and PS4 owners will be missing out this time, as the alpha will be for the PC only: —"PC is the lead development platform and we feel that it's natural to start by testing the game on this platform." You can check out the minimum requirements to run the alpha below:

  • OS: Windows 7, 8, 8.1, x64
  • CPU: Intel Core i5-2500K or AMD FX-8120 Eight-Core
  • CPU Speed: 3.3 GHz (Recommended), 2.6 GHz (Minimum)
  • RAM: 8 GB
  • GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 670 or AMD Radeon HD 7970 / R9 280 X
  • VRAM: 2 GB
  • Internet: 512Kbps down/256Kbps up

Expect some more details on the Rainbow Six Siege’s closed beta phase in the coming weeks. The game will be available for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
