To a contest ever embedded in unpredictability, perhaps the most basic thing one could say about Formula 1 is that it is amongst the most enthralling contests in the world of sports. But if you thought that the thrill and adventure about F1 were only limited to its iconic drivers, spine-bending machines, and rip-roaring circuits then think again.

The high-octane races notwithstanding, there's a lot about Formula 1 that one has come to understand through movies such as Rush, based on the rivalry of Hunt and Lauda and Senna, the famous documentary on the life of the inimitable Brazilian racing legend.

And guess what? In a few months from now, one will have the fascinating opportunity to peek inside the world of the famous Ford and Ferrari rivalry at legendary Le-Mans 24 hour race. And who do you think are going to be in the titular roles in the James Mangold-flick?

It's none other than Matt Damon and Christian Bale who have donned the hat of famous Formula 1 icons Henry Ford II and Enzo Ferrari, respectively, in the aptly titled Hollywood flick, "Ford vs Ferrari!"

The movie based on the interesting rivalry between two legendary names from the realm of motor-racing explores how Ford stood up to Ferrari in challenging the legendary racing team's standing in the sport.

That said, one can only say that given the sheer acting talent both Damon and Bale possess, the yet to be released movie will be a keenly watched one.

A leading lifestyle journal had the following to add on the much-anticipated flick:

The story follows the dream of a car company, Ford Motors in this case, to become the face of car racing by challenging the hegemony of the biggest car company on Earth, that is, Ferrari Motors. Damon stars as the visionary car designer Carroll Shelby-- man working for Henry Ford II, played by Tracy Letts, the owner of Ford Motors. Shelby devises the perfect strategy for establishing the dominance of Ford Motors on the race track-- make a super car and find a driver who can race to the finish line.

The Ford v. Ferrari movie by 21st Century Fox is said to hit the theaters on November 15th, 2019.
