Paarl Rocks themselves, are in decent form after a brilliant win over Cape Town Blitz last Sunday. Their bowling unit was on song against the likes of Quinton de Kock and Liam Livingstone and will hope for an encore against the table-toppers. Both teams are placed in the qualification spots with a win on Wednesday strengthening their case in the coming days. Here are a few tips to help you pick your Dream11 team for NMG vs PR.

Squads to choose from:

Nelson Mandela Bay Giants:

J J Smuts (C), Jason Roy, Farhaan Behardien, Imran Tahir, Chris Morris, Junior Dala, Beuran Hendricks, Matthew Breetzke, Onke Nyaku, Ben Dunk, Heino Kuhn, Marco Marais, Grant Thomson, Akhona Mnyaka, Nandre Burger and Dyllan Matthews

Playing XI Updates:

Nelson Mandela Bay Giants:

With Farhaan Behardien's fitness still a doubt, Nelson Mandela Bay Giants should field the same set of players for this game as well. While Jason Roy and Matthew Breetzke assume the responsibility of providing a fast start in the powerplay, JJ Smuts' form adds stability to the batting unit. Ben Dunk and Heino Kuhn also feature in the middle order with the big-hitting Marco Marais already making a mark in MSL 2019. Junior Dala, Chris Morris and Imran Tahir have been firing on all cylinders this year. With 23 wickets between them in five games, they will once again be crucial to their fortunes in this high-octane clash.

Possible XI: Roy, Breetzke, Smuts (C), Dunk (WK), Kuhn, Marais, Morris, Nyaku, Tahir, Burger and Dala

Paarl Rocks:

Similar to their opponents, Paarl Rocks aren't expected to make any changes to their side. The duo of Henry Davids and James Vince has consistently scored runs for the Rocks in spite of Faf du Plessis critically underwhelming this year. Nevertheless, their bowling unit has been on fire with Hardus Viljoen and Tabriaz Shamsi in top form. Dwaine Pretorius and Isuru Udana provide the balance in the side while Sibonelo Makhanya should be given another game after a subdued outing against Cape Town Blitz.

Possible XI: Davids, Delport, du Plessis (C), Vince, Pretorius, Mosehle (WK), Makhanya, Fortuin, Udana, Viljoen and Shamsi.

Pitch Report:

As seen in the previous games, the pitch has been suitable for strokeplay with 170 being a par score. The spinners should get some turn although dew could go against them. Either side will be looking to chase on this surface upon winning the toss with there being no chance of rainfall on Wednesday.

Fantasy Tips and Suggestions:

Wicket-keeper: As Mangaliso Mosehle bats deep down the order, this leaves only two viable options in Heino Kuhn and Matthew Breetzke. Although Breetzke has shown glimpses of what he is capable of in the previous games, Heino Kuhn is the preferred option. With his experience coming into play, Kuhn should be able to score some runs in the middle order and justify his selection.

Batsmen: Jason Roy and Faf du Plessis are must have players for this game. Both of them endured rare failures in their previous outing and will be looking to make amends in this much-awaited clash. Another viable option is JJ Smuts, who is in fine form for the Nelson Mandela Bay Giants. While one of Cameron Delport or James Vince is a must, Marco Marais' ability to score quick runs in the death overs makes him a good candidate.

Allrounders: Chris Morris has done brilliantly with six wickets in MSL 2019. He boasts of an average of 19, which speaks volumes of his ability. Along with the Nelson Mandela Bay Giants all-rounder, Dwaine Pretorius is another great option for the fantasy team. Pretorius has done well with the ball in MSL 2019 and has scored 109 runs this season to warranty a place in the side. If one were to pick an extra all-rounder, Isuru Udana would fit the bill.

Bowlers: Two of Paarl Rocks' trio Tabriaz Shamsi, Bjorn Fortuin and Hardus Viljoen should be picked with all of them capable of picking a wicket or two in this game. Along with them, Imran Tahir is another must have in the side with his experience bound to come in handy on a good batting track. As for the final pick, Junior Dala should get the nod over Nandre Burger with the former Delhi Capitals pacer picking nine wickets so far in the tournament.

Captain: Faf du Plessis and Jason Roy are the ideal candidates for the multiplier options on Wednesday. While Jason Roy's form holds him in good stead, Faf du Plessis is due for a big one for Paarl Rocks. Apart from the aforementioned duo, Dwaine Pretorius' all-round ability could also bring in a good number of fantasy points.

Fantasy Suggestion #1: Heino Kuhn, Jason Roy, Marco Marais, Faf du Plessis, James Vince, Chris Morris, Dwaine Pretorius, Imran Tahir, Junior Dala, Tabriaz Shamsi and Bjorn Fortuin. Captain: Faf du Plessis, Vice-Captain: Jason Roy

Fantasy Suggestion #2: Heino Kuhn, Jason Roy, JJ Smuts, Faf du Plessis, Cameron Delport, Chris Morris, Dwaine Pretorius, Imran Tahir, Junior Dala, Hardus Viljoen and Bjorn Fortuin. Captain: Faf du Plessis, Vice-Captain: Dwaine Pretorius
