Table-toppers, Paarl Rocks looks to seal a top three spot in MSL 2019 as they host Durban Heat on Wednesday. Wicket-keeper: Dane Vilas should get the nod over Kyle Verreynne with the Lancashire keeper in fine form this season. Vilas has already scored a fifty this year and has been very tidy behind the stumps as well. While Verreynne also showed glimpses of what he is capable of against Jozi Stars, Vilas' experience gives him the nod.
Batsmen: Faf du Plessis and Alex Hales have been critically underwhelmed this year. Although both of them have centurions in the T20I format, they are yet to score a fifty in MSL 2019. Along with them, Henry Davids is also a viable option with the veteran already scoring 153 runs. Cameron Delport and David Miller also have experience under their belt and should be able to score some runs in this game.
Allrounders: Ravi Bopara is a must have in the side owing to his stellar form in 2019. Bopara has already impressed with cameos in the middle overs and he is also capable of rolling his arm over for a couple of overs. Along with the Englishman, Isuru Udana is also a good option with the all-rounder expected to add to his tally of seven wickets. If one were to pick an extra allrounder, Andile Phehlukwayo would fit the bill.
Bowlers: Tabriaz Shamsi is the highest wicket-taker among spinners in MSL 2019. With 10 wickets, he looks good for more wickets against Durban Heat. Along with Shamsi, Fortuin and Abbott are also picked in the side for this game. While Maharaj did pick a few wickets in the previous game, Malusi Siboto is decent pick as well with the Durban Hear pacer bowling predominantly in the death overs.
Captain: Henry Davids has gotten off to a few cameos without converting them in MSL 2019. Nevertheless, he is an experienced player who should be able to score big runs in this crucial game.
