Tshwane Spartans and Durban Heat take centre-stage in MSL 2019 as they square off at the SuperSport Park in Centurion. While rain has frustrated either side this tournament, they are placed in the middle of the points table.

Durban Heat lost their only completed game so far against the Cape Town Blitz while Tshwane Spartans pulled off a decent run chase courtesy of Dean Elgar's brisk fifty. Heading into this game, both sides would be eyeing a win as they seek to climb up the table as soon as possible. On paper, Tshwane Spartans looks more formidable than their opponents with the likes of AB de Villiers and Lungi Ngidi in their ranks.

Nevertheless, Durban Heat has a lot of firepower in their batting unit and will ensure a competitive game on Thursday. With another entertaining encounter beckoning, here are a few tips to help you pick your Dream11 team for TST vs DUR.

Playing XI Updates

Tshwane Spartans:

Spartans should remain unchanged after their first win of the season against Paarl Rocks. Their opening pair of Theunis de Bruyn and Dean Elgar was amongst the runs last week although the focus will be on AB de Villiers. The presence of Heinrich Klassen adds stability in the batting order with Roelof van der Merwe adding depth. Their bowling unit is perhaps the best in the league with Morne Morkel and Lungi Ngidi leading the attack for them.

Possible XI: Elgar, de Bruyn, de Villiers, Klaasen (C&WK), Ferreira, van der Merwe, Curran, Sipamla, Ngidi, Morkel and van Biljon

Durban Heat:

As for the Heat, they will looking for better performances rather than changes in the side for this game. One positive from their loss against CTB was the emergence of Wihan Lubbe. He will once again feature at the number three with David Miller, Dane Vilas and Ravi Bopara forming a formidable middle order. Their openers, Alex Hales and Sarel Erwee will be crucial although the bowling attack holds the key for them. Andile Phehlukwayo's variations combined with Kyle Abbott's pin point accuracy should be a spot of bother for the opposition on Thursday.

Possible XI: Erwee, Hales, Lubbe, Vilas(C&WK), Miller, Bopara, Phehlukwayo, Abbott, Maharaj, Siboto and Subrayen

Pitch Report:

As was the case with the previous Spartans vs Heat game, bad weather could render this match as a wash-out. If a game does happen, chasing would be the ideal option with DLS coming into play on a good batting track at the SuperSport Park.

Fantasy Tips and Suggestions:

Wicket-keeper: Both Dane Vilas and Heinrich Klassen have a lot of experience under their belt. With both the of them slated to bat at number four, picking either of them would be a decent option. Although selecting both of them would also be preferable, the balance of the side is a key factor as well.

Batsmen: AB de Villiers wasn't able to score much runs in their previous against Durban Heat. He is a must have in the side along with the likes of David Miller and Dean Elgar. Another player to watch out for is Wihan Lubbe, who smashed the Cape Town Blitz bowlers all over the park enroute to a 42-ball, 83. Theunis de Bruyn is a possible alternative as well with the South African International in good touch.

Allrounders: Ravi Bopara and Andile Phehlukwayo showed glimpses of what they are actually capable of in their first game of the season. Given their ability to win games single-handedly with both bat and ball, they are ideally picked in the fantasy team. Along with the Durban Heat duo, Roelof van Merwe is a viable candidate as well with the left arm spinner having a good 2019 do far in T20 cricket.

Bowlers: Lungi Ngidi wasn't able to pick a wicket against Paarl Rocks. He should be able to make amends with a wicket or two here. While Ngidi is one certain pick in the side, the likes of Lutho Sipamla and Tom Curran are also handy options. One of Kyle Abbott or Keshav Maharaj should suffice in rounding off the fantasy team for this game.

Captain: AB de Villiers is the first choice for captaincy with the South African superstar being one of the best players in the format. Along with the Spartan batsman, the duo of Andile Phehlukwayo and Ravi Bopara should also be backed with the multiplier options on a pitch that should suit their skill-sets.

Fantasy Suggestion #1: Dane Vilas, AB de Villiers, David Miller, Theunis de Bruyn, Wihan Lubbe, Andile Phehlukwayo, Roelof van der Merwe, Ravi Bopara, Lungi Ngidi, Tom Curran and Kyle Abbott. Captain: AB de Villiers, Vice-Captain: Andile Phehlukwayo

Fantasy Suggestion #2: Heinrich Klassen, AB de Villiers, Dean Elgar, David Miller, Wihan Lubbe, Ravi Bopara, Andile Phehlukwayo, Roelof van der Merwe, Lungi Ngidi, Lutho Sipamla and Kyle Abbott. Captain: Ravi Bopara, Vice-Captain: AB de Villiers
