3 January signings who could help Liverpool win the Premier League this season
#2 Timo Werner
Roberto Firmino is among the best strikers in the Premier League, and is pivotal to The Reds' game-play under Jurgen Klopp.
However, he looked tired in the last few games, and is not performing at his best. The Reds need someone else to step up, but unfortunately for Jurgen Klopp, his team lacks strength on the bench, and no other attacker in the team is capable of filling the shoes of the Brazilian in his absence.
Daniel Sturridge is too prone to injuries, whereas, Divock Origi and Dominic Solanke lack the quality to make an impact on the team.
Quick, hard-working, and technically sound, Timo Werner ticks all the major boxes to play under Jurgen Klopp. Indeed the young German is a like for like backup option for Roberto Firmino. His ability to play as a winger will help Liverpool rotate more efficiently, and moreover, he is also capable of feeding the front-line by playing just behind the striker.
The 22-year-old scored 13 Bundesliga goals last season, and was RB Leipzig's top goalscorer in the league. He has started in good form this season as well, and has already netted 4 goals in the opening 9 Bundesliga games.
